Wonder if it is parallels. I looked at Sosa and Wood in my inventory. I haven’t used either card in my lineup yet and all the attributes looked the same to me.

One thing I think we can all agree on is that they need to do a far better job explaining what this is, how to do it and what the intention of it all is.
I don't have Twitter, but in game it's a word salad and there's nothing on their website at all.
So much unnecessary confusion.

Figured it out, you have to exchange players to get the vouchers.... thats right you have to spend stubs to get the varient vouchers even if you have the varient players already.... thanks SDS just another middle finger to the fan base
O and the pack options are random so you may get a extra voucher....

If it is just for fun and isn’t required for anything in the future it is fine. In my opinion.

WolfgangMLB_XBL I think that’s fair. Admittedly my reaction was a bit kneejerk. Although if it ends up being a collection I will probably stand by it. Obviously the kaiju and nicknames series that released borderline unusable cards in 2023 was the worst thing ever haha
I’m not a cosmetic change only fan myself but I know a lot of people are so if they like these variants that’s cool.
In past versions of the game I’ve always tried to collect every card and I guess I’m a little annoyed that they’ve added more cards to collect that are exactly the same as cards already in my collection except for the card art. A minor stat boost would have been nice.

I think the worst part is they wont allow you to exhange all the nonsellable duplicates of the pipeline series that we got from the packs. So while i thought "well at least they are giving us something to do with those extra non sellable cards" they arent even allowing us to do that.

Or at least exchange one for one on the duplicate vouchers. 3 for 1 is absolutely insane and reeks of greed.

So, bottom line - are the variants necessary? I am at the extreme end of the collector-type spectrum so I’d rather spend my stubs on the Chase Cards I’m missing.

@PapaRick68_MLBTS at the moment I don’t think they are but can’t rule out a future collection. Someone earlier speculated maybe there will be a collection tomorrow for Halloween or there’s a big legends/flashback collection coming in about a week maybe something there.

Finally getting to use those Deluxe and Premier packs I've been collecting.
I've been selling all mine for 5,000 stubs apiece like an idiot.

Agreed. I refuse to buy that card on principle even if it’s needed to complete the Draft Kids Series. I just got Posada & Ozzie for less than 200K each. I’m about to collect the Boss and I think I’m going with Chipper. I’ll shoot for getting Ted at some point but I’m broke now. Ha ha

I have the stubs but really don't want to engage with it.Early days, but i'm enjoying Ted far more than Chipper so far.
