This has been going on for years - they dont put any interesting restrictions on anything.
Everything is just - hey, play with your god squad again! Team building is the most fun thing about DD for me - and youre given no reason to do it after your main team is pretty much built (which is pretty early)

They should incentivize playing with a different squad but it should not be required.
My problems in past years was that with the semi limited time that I spent with the game I almost never got a chance to play with the players that I wanted. I was always replacing the with player of the month cards and cards for players and from teams I did not care about.
There are still some programs that require pxp with a specific subset of players that you won't finish by using your god squad. There are programs I won't finish because of that.

Team restrictions coupled with the perk system makes it more of a fun challenge. Anybody can load up a god squad and just beat the
out of the cpu -
Wait DQ had roster restrictions?
I thought DQ did have roster restrictions last year in several of the iterations.

Having the means to add some different things to the game to make it better and not doing it is flat out incompetence, especially when one of the main gripes from the player base every year is how repetitive the game is after a few months.

Have us start form a restricted set and allow us to expand the available cards via unlocks. That carry over into the next run. A roguelike mode where every run is essentially the same is a terrible roguelike mode.

I thought they had a good idea with miniseasons at least. You arent forced to use the cards but you get more rewards if you do
I would probably jump back into the game for a bit if they released a Topps Now or a Spotlight miniseason. Good way for those of us that don't want to buy 80% of our binder to get spotlight packs.

@rubicante23_PSN I think there is some confusion with the whole “play your way thing”
To me it means progress through the programs your preferred way… ex*
if you like moments/missions and want to do 20 of them to complete a program you should be able to. If you like spending money on the game and can just purchase all of the pack cards and lock them in to complete go for it.
As far as the “multiplayer program” goes I think they need to revamp that to make it obtainable for the offline players as well as online.
Not making the game modes fun and interesting to please a group jack offs that want to drag bunt to 1 million stubs in diamond quest isn’t the answer to the problem tho
