Everybody's Got a Wish List
-
After reading posts on the forums for the last year I see a common thread amongst all players. Everybody wants to be able to play the game the way they want to. Each mode has it's pluses and minuses and we play each one with the hope that the pluses unweigh the minuses. Even though we spend a lot of time on these forums questioning SDS's priorities and their willingness to listen to our concerns, we still play the game, however we like to play it and always wishing for more. I can definitely tell that some of you who post regularly are true experts on this game and when you send out posts to SDS they are well reasoned and genuinely would make the game better. I think the most common request I've seen is that unless referring to online play we just want to be able to customize each mode to how we want to play it. I'm not a hardcore simulation guy. I just like to see a likeness of myself playing baseball with real major league players and doing it well. I think all us have a wish list of what we would like to see in the game and options that we can have some control over. I think StinkyMcPooter has said multiple times that there's nothing wrong with SDS adding new things to the game as long as we have the option of turning those functions off if we don't want them. I've always wanted bigger storylines for RTTS and more interactions that affect outcomes but that's just me and I wouldn't expect everyone to want that. Hence the skip option should always be there or at least be able to decide at the beginning on the game if you want this option.
It's unrealistic to expect the developers to truly make this game as customized as we would like it but it would give some of us hope for future versions if they loosened the reins a little on the things that we enjoy in the game. -
Yep.
It isn't just for SDS, though. This holds true for all games like this: When it comes to offline, single-player games, there's no such thing as cheating. Let us change and/or turn off anything we (don't) want.
As long as what you alter doesn't change anything that gives you a monetary advantage (like earn you more digital currency) or affect other players (like leaderboards), everything should be available.
