As i posted in another thread, for comparison, at this time last year i had every card in the game and surplus stubs.
This year i have collections done, but would need a further 5.5M stubs to get the cards i don't have.
I have also had significantly more pack luck this year (pulled Shohei and 3 x Judge, last year, none of them).
Now, i don't really need or want those cards i'm missing, but it gives you a fair idea of how far down the 2K bastardisation model they've already gone.

I pulled a postseason Stanton a while back and recently sold him for 315k thinking his price would go down. Nope.

And I've got 1.6 million stubs but refuse to spend over 300k on cards I'll never use.
I have just over 1 million and I don't want to spend that much on players I would use for the rest of the year orobably
Exactly, and you're a Cardinals fan. I'm a Mets fan and I didn't want to spend the 150k on either Lindor or Soto.
Speaking of Cardinals when is the last time Vince Coleman has been in the game? One of my favorite non Mets or A's as a kid.
I don't think he was ever in the game. I was also a big Vince Coleman fan but honestly he feels redundant. I am always going to opt for Brock in LF and McGee in CF both of who have 99 speed and 99 steal, and probably Musial, Beltran, or Berkman in RF
I'm leery that to get more Cardinals since we would probably lose some of the existing ones. That would be tough.

There are so many of us in the same boat. We have the stubs. Not paying for Betts, Simmons, or Stanton/Berkman. I’m confident they will add more postseason and Prime cards. Mookie is such BS. Not buying him. I’ll skip that one if he don’t come down.

Love seeing the Berkman price skyrocket and mine sits with the NO SELL icon on it because I picked it up for 120k and collected it. Yay!

I'm already looking at a realistic pathway to Beltran that skips Mookie. It'll cost me not much less and more time but at least I'm not spending 1/4 of my stubs on one player.
*Additionally , it becomes a principle thing at this point. I'm lucky enough I have Stanton already locked , got him out of a pack couple months ago. Not seeing his price come down but only go up, I'm glad I locked him in and I don't have to worry about obtaining him anymore.

They probably made up that number, or the website told you that you had 10M stubs, but in reality you didn't.

Why has Ted Simmons been free falling today? Is it the vault pack? (apparently a new Prime card dropped)
I put in a bid for 230K not thinking it would go but not only did I get him back he has continued to freefall to 195K Buy Now and 173 Sell Now.
So final tally is that I sold him for 419K. Take out the 10% tax and that was 377K and bought him back for 230K so a 147K profit ain't too bad. I am not going to kick myself over the extra 40 or 50K I could have made by waiting a few more hours.
I have a buy order in for Berkman and Mcgee for the same amount. If I can get them for that then I should have plenty left over for Schoendienst, Suppan, Burleson and Condon

I feel like this year cards are just increasing in value. I get most of them within a week of coming out, and that's mostly been good for me.
I have basically everything, but they are locked into collections.
