Kelenic v Yelich
-
I have Yelich now. I was looking at different cards and realized he has very similar numbers. Has anyone used him? I could sell yelich for 54k now and get him for around 30k to save around 20k. Thoughts?

Yelich is a monster.

Yes he is. Which is why I’m hesitant, but that Kelenic looks real.

I can’t believe this game has made Kelenic comparable for Yelich... I hope for the best for him and really angry Mets traded but how is a prospect card comparable to Yelich?

Agree with you for sure. Prospect cards are really cool idea and honestly executed well all around but to think Kelenic will ever put up b2b 7 wins seasons is lofty expectations even for the highest of prospects!
Fun to dream though. -
I guess people wouldn’t buy packs and pay the money if the prospects were more realistic

They’re a different kind of player. Kelenic is a CF. Yelich is more of a corner OF.
Personally, I have no problem with the Kelenic card. Mariners fans don’t have much to choose from and the kid is a legitimate talent.
He has a swing like a left handed Mike Trout. Time will tell how he does in the bigs, but we traded Cano and Diaz for him and so far, he looks very promising.
As to his card in the game, many of my opponents pitch around him so he doesn’t get much to hit lately. He has good OBP and can steal a base or score from first on a solid knock into the gap.
