It's Agust, the game is still trash
-
So here we are, in August. The game is still freezing at the worst possible times. The marketplace is still controlled by bots and SDS hasn't done or said anything, besides lie and ruin a once great franchise.
I have 1.4 million stubs and still can't buy 2 cards to complete LS. Why...Because these lazy $hits refuse to fix their game. But they'll drop repeat cards faster than Bonnie Blue drops her panties.
-
Same boat as you. Almost exactly the same. Waiting on Ohtani and Judge to go down to closeout LS. Not paying over 800 for Ohtani.
-
The fact that they stopped doing live feeds about new content tells you that they don't want to defend the questions consumers will ask. They don't want to talk about the bad servers, them saying one thing and doing something else. They just don't want to expose their lies, yet they still make sure to have pack sales, stub sales and try selling the game. It's goingvto be quite a disservice to next year's game.
-
They've given up.
It's only getting worse from here, sadly.
-
Forget bots. You have to wonder who is really in control of these companies at this point. If people that work for them are giving up, then some coldhearted Dr. Evil must really be in control. EA NHL has had the same problem. It seems like they gave up there to focus on '27. When the most player-friendly game, this one, has 'turned heel,' like evil EA and 2K, it is a microcosm of the world system as a whole., which is crumbling every day.

Turning a blind eye to the bots is even worse, probably their bots...because 'F you, give me your money'

SDS should do the right thing and sell the MLB license to another company that’s capable of making an efficient Baseball game.
-
I feel like i have to quit the game more often these days because the gameplay is just so laughable and unrealistic. Good timing with good placement with a power hitter goes 325ft. SDS is just too worried about profit, they forgot what the game should feel like. I hope someone goes Office Space on their building for Christmas this year. IDGAF.

Not their license to sell. MLB has not entered into any exclusive licensing deal with anyone. I am quite confident that MLB would be happy to agree to a licensing deal with any video game company that shows the aptitude to code up a good game.
Then again, SDS used to be that kind of company, but years of mailing in their annual updates I think have finally caught up with them.
Would not surprise me in the least to see 2K Sports or EA license with MLB to produce a game in a few years.

I don't believe that they have turned a blind eye to the bots. People on this forum have been restricted because they were thought to be botting. Manu was posting updates not too long and was obviously trying to reign it in some.
The problem is that I don't believe it is nearly as easy to identify the bots as many here seem to think. Telling the difference between a really fast and effective person and a bot programmed to act more like a person is probably hard.
The other problem is the hardcore flippers want bots eliminated without the system inconveniencing them in any way.
Lastly, the third party stubs sellers, who probably run the majority of the bots are going to be relentless and probably can spin up new accounts as fast as SDS can ban the old one.

A lot of what you said is true. It is mostly resellers running the bots, but I don’t think it's that hard of a fix. These resellers have to have millions of stubs to sell, so SDS can cap the number of stubs made in a certain time period. Make it progressive as the cards get more valuable. Factor in the price of the cards. They can see everything we do and could easily come up with a sensible solution... if they wanted.

Not trying to brag with this at all, just sharing a horrible gaming experience.
I went 4-2 in Immortal Weekend Classic. Figured I’d try to see if I can hit top 10 to land a Miz. Played a couple cheaters. One guy would just put up 5 perfect perfect home runs every time I tied the game.
I put in Rogers and he was probably a 200 rated player without his cheating app. Absolutely horrendous zone recognition and swing timing. Wanted to beat him so bad but lined out with two runners on and lost by 2. Probably would have won if I figured out he was cheating earlier, but he hid it pretty well the first half of the game.
It’s just kind of crazy to spend so much time doing the collections, practicing, etc….only to have to run into this type of player. Not sure what SDS plans to do in the future, but something absolutely has to be done. Maybe they do nothing since cheaters back Out against top streamers so the average person won’t even realize the problem exists?

That is a brag and I don't blame you. 🫠
This is one area I give SDS a little slack on. Cheaters are going to cheat, I guess. The fact they don't do anything about it, other then say, don't do it is a different story. If COD and fps games can detect aim bots you'd think SDS could do the same. Really, it's the same principle now that I think about it. -
All we can do as a community is keep reporting these losers.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL and nothing gets done about it atleast a public statement saying smt has been done about the issue would be nice. like I said other games have anti cheats why can’t this one it blows my mind. I still continue to play but when I play a cheater it kills my mojo for like a week.

They made a public statement but I don’t think they banned any cheaters. I still see TTVPabel18RD playing
