Simple solution to 90% of the anger SDS has caused the community
-
OK SDS, want to eliminate about 90% of the anger you caused within the stadium designer community? Here is a very simple option.
Modify the code in one straightforward way. When a stadium is brought up, up front, present a menu option where the customer can opt for a stadium compatible with online play or restricted to offline play.
If the customer selects online compatible, then enforce all the existing coded restrictions in Stadium Creator. However, if the customer selects offline restricted, then all the coded restrictions on prop placement and layout configuration are removed.
This means the selection option is permanently assigned to the stadium file created. It will never be available for online play if the offline restricted option is selected. But, in return for that, props can be placed anywhere. All "fixed" props like the batters eyes and bullpens function just like normal props, and every single wall panel can be moved and adjusted just like the outfield wall panels can be.

I think I disagree with this, primarily on the point of we need more freedom and not restraints. The min/max philosophy might be better served here I think. Nothing less than 315 down the lines, 395 to center, and nothing more than 370, and 440 down the lines and to center, respectively. And as far as foul ground nothing less than 2 feet with regards to distance to the foul line, this way you prevent Lagrasa issues.
