No More Mode-Specific Difficulty?

Is it just me, or does The Show 26 no longer feature any options to set a difficulty level specific to a given mode?
Not only that, but it seems like save files of Franchise and RTTS do not preserve difficulty settings that have been changed. In other words, the difficulty in the game can only be set globally and can only be changed manually.
I like to play Franchise mode in Legend difficulty, but for RTTS I prefer to use All-Star. Whenever I switch between these modes, I have to reset the difficulty. Not a huge huge deal, but seeing as this wasn't the case in previous installments of the game, it seems like a stupid regression in quality - needless omission of a previously-existing helpful feature.
