I would think that between now and Finest that we will start seeing more legends and less current stars since most already have high end cards

Here are the legends whose best cards are still 90 or below.

Clutch research! With the power creep where it is, even my 95 Griffey isn’t nearly good enough for a God Squad.

We're definitely due for a Griffey soon.

Griffey has a chase card at least. We are due for a Jered Weaver or Jeff Suppan! These kind of guys just never get any love.

@virusts_PSN definitely - only John Don is ever made usable. Seems silly.

The biggest problem with the negro league cards is that they are just completely ignored for majority of the regular mlb season. The cards in storylines aren’t useable. Then when we have a glutton of 99s they decided to release a bunch of them finally. Also why not have a way of making them useable for people in team affinity somehow. A free agent category or something. Could be just for some packs.

One of the few new legends they brought on this year is Cardinals great Red Schoendienst. Also Yankees great Phil Rizzuto. Neither have been rewarded with more than their introductory card at the start of the game. I’ve defended SDS more than most, but it doesn’t look good. With all their issues and lack of legends focus this could well be my final year. I hope not.

How about a negro league TA?
Cause that was one of the suggestions I gave them at all star village

For me, legends are a key point of playing this mode. That said, the vast majority of legends aren't meta. So I wonder if there's enough of a RoI when very few of the most competitive people use them. Also, a lot of younger people shrug off legends as if they're from an inferior and/or inauthentic era.

In prior years, I have seen for years people posting that there are too many legends and that current cards never get upgrades. Now they have turned their focus to current cards and people are complaining about Legends. You can never make everyone happy. I personally love the Legends and agree they have really taken a back seat this year and it's a major reason why I have played less this year any other time the last 10 years. I hope they make the shift back to releasing more Legend cards.

Nobody actually plays with most of the legend cards - because theyre clearly inferior to the meta cards. Stop the meta, nerf the meta - or create a team builder mode where I need to use the other guys.

Now someone will run in and say "you can use the other cards, Noone is stopping you! Do it just for fun!"

Nah man, its just all meta all the time and if you dont do the meta, you are quickly punished by the game.

But you have to keep everyone involved

    My Current Lineup

    CF Willie McGee
    LF Lou Brock
    RF Lance Berkman
    DH Jordan Walker
    2B JJ Wetherholt
    C Ivan Herrera
    1B Ted Simmons
    2B Terry Pendleton
    SS Ozzie Smith

You give me an upgraded Stan Musial or a Good McGwire card then Herrera is the card removed from the lineup.

Without legends I would most likely be done which is why I harp on the imbalance between the teams. I figure there are fans out there like me for every team.

Although he was probably much cheaper to add and is currently a better card, McGee will not be replaced by Condon

That cityscape Willie McGee raked for me. I P5’d him in no time (on veteran). Line drives everywhere. A single by him was essentially a triple. (2SB). A great card!!

I agree, McGee will get it to drop in between IF and OF but Condon s power is too high,it will carry to the OF and be caught.
