I'm not going to go into details about what I did but on fiber internet I could not score more than 6 runs in all star during the WC. Most games were around 3 runs including getting shutout by Verlander (who is not good).

Dumbed down my internet and played 2 games and part of 1. 1st game against Verlander scored 5 runs off him in 3 innings and 8 in 3 innings total before opponent quit. 2nd game 3 HR's off Felix in 1st inning for a quit. 3rd game scored 3 runs in 1st inning. Dumbing down my internet I could actually see the ball. Full fiber internet could not see or read pitches at all. Looked like a blur. Opponent getting hits on horrible swings constantly, baserunners running in mud (99 base stealers not moving until the ball was almost released and although I didn't have many good swings not being able to see the ball I rarely got rewarded. One game I literally didn't have a hit on a good swing until the 8th inning. Completely opposite after "dumbing" down the internet.

I don't know how these results can be anything but horrific lag compensation. Completely different experiences. Full fiber internet I had trouble scoring on all star. Dumbed down I feel like I could compete in HOF.

Is fiber internet good? Is it better than wifi?

I can't go into details about what I did for this test but it appears you get penalized with fiber 900+ up/down speeds. My guess would be lag compensation. This wasn't just a small difference in these. It was a massive difference in game play.

Was I late on some 102 fastballs? Well yes, I'm older than the old highway speed limit. That I can live with. My early games of WC were extremely frustrating not being able to see or read the ball. I was going to play a lot less ranked after this weekend but if this continues to work, I may try HOF and see how that goes.

I normally just create a hotspot on my iphone and play that way. I score tons of runs and have no troubles reading pitches. If you have an iphone go to settings and select "personal hotspot".

I have tried using my phone hot spot, WiFi while streaming on numerous devices….etc.

My results were inconclusive. MLB has been the same way for years where it seemed like you knew you were getting rocked when you matched up with someone from Latin America with dial up internet. Not completely sure how to replicate their poor internet.

I do know that I did one BR run like five years ago with terrible hotel WiFi and easily went flawless. My opponents couldn’t touch the ball and hitting was insanely easy for me.

I have had some luck using native 60 HZ/FPS monitors. I suspect that MLB is still running at this rate even though they are 120 FPS capable via upscaling or whatever the technical jargon would be.

I remember @d_e_m_i_s_e_mlbts posting about regions before. I think this really matters. Notice that a lot of the top players live in Florida.

True story. I once did vpn from Australia and matched against a top 50 player at Shield Woods when the elevation was high. The match was laggy. They scored 4 runs until the 8th inning when I threw some bad pitches. I can promise had I played that same game on my fiber internet I would have been mercied in 4.

So the better the internet you have the worse the game plays? I can actually believe this. They need dedicated servers. Enough of this non sense.

Have you ever messed with the UPNP settings on your modem? I’m sure you have but wanted to ask.

Lag compensation my friend, whenever I get into one of those laggy games I start downloadinf COD and GTA so I can dumb my conection down to their level. I don’t know if it works because I still feel terrible input delay. I believe these dudes are playing on 5mbps upload speeds.

Because he is probably playing on WiFi at very low speeds, probable 5-10mbps… The people that don’t believe this is an issue are benefiting from lag compensation, they never experience the horrible input delay, warping speeds, pitches and fielders teleporting, etc…

Lol when you are bad for 10 straight years you come up with some wild theories and expect people to be dumb enough for the “I can’t tell you this top secret information but trust me I tried it and boy ol boy did I ever almost score a few runs more than normal”

You and Ditka should start Prestige Research Worldwide

You do realize that less than probably 2% of people that play this game make WS correct? I have made WS multiple times every year since I started playing DD in 17. This includes reaching over 1000 rating and making WS with an all gold lineup the first season first year I played. You really nailed that bad for 10 years genius.

Another thing I have noticed for certain since I've been playing online games since December 2002 is when people's skill increases drastically the game is infested with cheats. MLB The Show is infested.

Even if I believed you it wouldn't change things I think is my point. I don't not believe you. I experience all sorts of demonic [censored] playing this game ever since that NPC RR became the voice for casuals I knew you were onto something but if that's true than hell is real and it doesn't matter. Please forgive my dismissive comments
