@sds_joek_psn I know you guys have your hands full right now, but is there anything at all coming in any future updates this year?

We can trim it down to easily-implemented changes:

1: Revert the limitations that prevented us from moving foul fences. Since minor fenceline tweaks now render the stadium useless for online play, there's now zero reason to have that restriction. Instead put a restriction in that the fence cannot come within 2 feet of the foul line.

1-ii) Eliminate all dead/no-go zones that prevented us from lining the stands up with the adjusted fencing proper.

2: Eliminate dead zones around batter's eyes.

3:(minor) please add a proper ivy wall option for fences.

This should be extremely easy to add until proper and full revisions of the creator can be made for next year.

Honestly the best you can hope for is new props. 1 - 2 will never happen unless they rebuild the creator from the ground up.

That's not correct. We know this because last year when the so-called "wall glitch" was discovered, we learned that the existing Stadium Creator code handles movements of all the wall panels just fine. Meaning, the walls realistically interact with the game play -- the revised foul grounds play out accurately.

The cheat stadium Lagrassa was of course a very undesirable result in isolation, but there were many other stadiums placed on the vault that simply used the option to replicate historic ballparks accurately for the first time.

Moreover, the code to prevent cheat stadiums is already in the SC mode. Extend that code that currently applies to movement of the outfield wall panels and apply it to movement of any of the wall panels. Suddenly all motivation to make a cheat stadium is removed.

For a long time our patience was ignored. It's not asking too much for an upgraded SC given it has been six years now since it originated in the game.

At this point I’ve given up on stadium creator. Especially after last year. They can’t even put numbers on the walls when the the walls all have preset distances. Where are the pitch timers and nets down the lines? I just don’t see the point in wasting time in there.

The problem with making major updates like moving bullpens off the field without an almost complete rework is that other code will definitely break. We've seen it with minor things already like windows not working, the wall glitch too yes, the strikeout meter breaking, half the stadium lights shine straight down this year, etc. But even without any major updates this year, our discord community has found bugs this year that did not exist last year. We've kept it to ourselves since it could be really bad if they got out. From manipulating memory to completely covering up the batters eye and even placing certain props where they definitely shouldn't be allowed to go.

If the principle argument against upgrading game modes is concern that SDS will botch the upgrade, then the entire game title is doomed. When any game code gets so bloated that it cannot accept upgrades, then that is the surest sign that the code needs to be rewritten from scratch, else it withers on the vine and cannot endure.

Are we truly at that point? Honestly, it is a reasonable reaction given what has been happening the last few years.
