Carry Custom Rosters Over to the Next Game?
-
Does anyone else think custom rosters should carry over to the next year's game?
Roster creators spend hundreds or even thousands of hours making historical, classic, and fantasy rosters. When a new game comes out, we have to rebuild everything from scratch, and because of that, some creators choose to stay on the older game instead of moving to the new one.
A roster transfer feature that preserves as much data as possible (ratings, appearances, equipment, team assignments, etc.) would be a huge quality-of-life improvement and make upgrading much more worthwhile.
What do you all think?

As someone who helped work on Bacons fictional rosters which I think were the best, I 100% agree! It took us months to do the roster from the previous year. There was around 7 to 10 guys working on them too. They did have year to year saves, but then they had to go multi-platform and that ended it.

I put so much work into creating each player one by one, and it really sucks that it all goes to waste in just a year. I logged over 1,000 hours of playtime last year, but honestly, only about 10 hours of that was actual gameplay—and that was just to test if the player creation turned out right.
