disagree slightly, 26 is bad, however when (and its been a big when) the game runs correctly its a lot of fun. 18 was not fun.

Didnt 17 have the bs of getting 4 hr with griffey in a ranked game. Not to mention create player was still popular which sucked. I feel like the better pack luck you have the more fun you have. I like 18 with the whole grind to 99 and u didnt need alot of stubs. I remember i had over thousand hrs by end up summer an my wife broke my disc and thru it out. But thats just me, i like grinding stats an missions. Ive had great pack luck last 4 years so ive enjoyed them all

I think there's some rose-colored glasses being put on here when looking at the past. Things always seem better when they are newer and fresher.

But, I will say that there's not much new and fresh about 26. Needs a new mode that isn't stale, and gives people a reason to play the game in a different way (using other cards, etc)

Respectfully, I disagree. I have not purchased MLB 26, so I cannot say for certain if it is the all time worst release. But, based on the feedback I have seen written online, it seems to be contesting for that recognition!

Based on owning MLB 25 all the way in sequence to MLB 21 and then titles prior to that release going as far back as 989's releases, the title for MLB 21 and 22 were surpassed by MLB 24 in nearly all regards. I still play MLB 24 and 25 and it is surprising how much smoother and accurate the chances and at bats play out in MLB 24 than in MLB 25. In MLB 24, you can actually get routine fly balls! Imagine that! The most common outfielder play in the real game and it does sometimes happen in MLB 24 but hardly ever in MLB 25!

The only thing MLB 25 improved on was the way that your RTTS avatar player's attributes were developed -- strictly by on-the-field quality of play. It seems that MLB 26 may have decided to backtrack a small bit on that concept.

A more accurate ranking based on years of browsing this forum... Worst ever: This year. Best ever: random game from like 20 years ago that actually had way more flaws but nostalgia has blinded people and caused them to only remember the good parts. Honorable mention: Last year's game, which everyone agreed was the worst ever up until this year's game came out and suddenly people had something new to complain about.

Considering how much we are forced to play offline to complete collections this year. Combined with all the bugs, pack glitchers, etc. 26 is by far the worst and its not even close. I thought 25 was bad. If 25 is a five out of ten. 26 is a negative two out of 10.

HR/9 year will always be the worst because they completely broke the game.

This is easily the second worst. It isn't forced hate. The MLB the show with rampant cheaters, the worst content, the highest gatekeepers, the worst servers and broken menus is the second worst ever. Easily.

    I enjoy the version.
But I gave up with any online baseball based on my internet and horrible sportsmanship

This game plays best on legend difficulty with stock rosters that max at 99 not 125

Once we move away from this things get loose.

18 was absolutely brutal. The grind for the immortals was out of this world (not in a good way). There were only so many immortals so everyone had the same team. Kind of like this year with every game being at Coors Field with 8 switch hitters. Getting 4 HR's from Griffey in an online game was brutal because most people would quit if you got a couple. I remember hitting his 4th and praying the opponent wouldn't dashboard. I would still rate 18 as the worst but definitely this year as 2nd worst.

I've only been playing since 19, but without equal, this year's release is objectively terrible.

@RazorForte45_XBL I agree. But, it can also play pretty well with lower batting cards like golds and silvers on hof or all-star difficulty (with good pitchers and a normal park - not Coors).

Playing with all juiced diamonds and 125 power has never worked well - its just the "more is better right??" thing to do....and nobody has the patience to do the power creep the right way. And also, everyone gets mad every time their perfect swing is anything other than a home run.

Unpopular opinion, I loved 18. Bring back the grind.

Really depends on the game modes you play. Eg RTTS good up to 17, not so in 18-19, good in 20, tanked in 21 and conceptually good in 26 but bug ridden.

    Franchise similar experience.
