For years, I can't figure this out in DD and need advice. Using the example of the Red Sox starting rotation as listed on the 40 man roster:

    Garrett Crochett - 86 OVR
    Payton Toyle - 77 OVR
    Sonny Gray - 77 OVR
    Ranger Suarez - 76 OVR
    Connelly Early - 76 OVR

Scenario 1: When choosing my SP, if I choose my #2 starter, I would think that means Payton Toyle will be my opponent. Then suddenly it might be Sonny Gray instead.

Scenario 2: If I choose my #5 SP, instead of facing Connelly Early, it ends being Ranger Suarez.

I've tried to figure out who to anticipate will be the SP for my opponent when multiple players have the same OVR rating. I thought maybe it went by alphabetical of their last name but that didn't work.

Anyone know how the game chooses the order of the SP rotation when multiple pitchers have the same OVR??

It's based on the live series ratings with the inside edge factored in.

You talking about DQ? Because they don't have live series starters

If three pitchers are rated 80,79,78, and the 78 overall has +3 inside edge today he will actually be the #1 with 81 overall is what he is referring too. So Sony Gray likely had an inside edge boost and went from the 3 spot to the 2 spot but still wasn’t enough to boost him to the #1 spot.

I get what you are asking and it does become a bit of a guessing game when you have two or more guys with the same overall and inside edge isn't a factor. I try to make a mental note or check recent box scores if facing the same team again between roster updates.

Edit - just to clarify, this is conquest I'm referring to. In mini seasons for me it's always based on what slot they are in regardless of overall rating.

@DeleteyourTTVBTW_MLBTS I play offline and was viewing everything for Payton Toole and found no 'inside edge' info. Where would I find this?

It would be in the “roster upgrade” section somewhere or if you click on the card and look at all the sections there will be an inside edge one of you scroll down. Otherwise if you have the cards it will show whether they have inside edge or not in your inventory. It changes daily for who they match up in real life. So tomorrows will be different as well as the next days.
