Sometimes you hate the All Star Voting process more than others.

Firstly, I know Jordan Walker will be on the all-star team and quite possibly the Cardinals only representative (even though Marmol is part of the Coaching staff), but still when you compare how he is doing against those ahead of him

I guess I should be happy he is as high as 6th place.

Iâd be fine with Pages being over him cause heâs been excellent, but the Phillies, Braves, and Dodgers are all pretty clearly overrepresented in the vote (Teoscar HernĂĄndez in particular being top six is a genuine travesty)
-
I won't say Alec Burleson should be leading the 1B ballot and I am actually surprised he is 5th (a lot of fans for other teams overlook him) but here he is against the top vote getter at 1B

-
All-Star voting should not be done by fans.
It heavily weights the odds of players from New York and L.A..
-
@StinkyMcPooter_XBL donât you root for the Blue Jays?
-
James Wood should be in period. The fact he is 7th in OF voting is why the system is flawed.
-

This year, the only Jay that deserves it is Ernie Clement. He's the best 2B in the AL.
Other than that, I can't think of anyone.
-
@StinkyMcPooter_XBL then look at the ballot update again and see your guy Vladito is first at 1B. your team deserves to be on that list you made as much as the Dodgers and Yankees do.

Touche. Still proves my point.
Vlad is not having a good year. He doesn't deserve to be there. The next three guys are having much better years.
Kirk is second? He hasn't played but 10 games.
Again, fans shouldn't be voting.

In the National League The Dodgers, Braves and Phillies take up 18 of the 21 (85.7%) Top 3 spots for all 7 positions.
-
Yeah fan voting sucks in the sense that it allows people who are so die hard for one team they neglect other players having great years. Like Iâm a redsox fan but I can put my bias aside and pick a true allstar team. Iâm Canadian and jays bias is a real thing up here I bet u there are people who go in enter the whole jays starting lineup and do so the maximum amount of times. Even tho there only real all stars are Ernie and Iâd maybe maybe give u cease.
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN Cease (and Louis Varland) are both more deserving All-Stars than Ernie is
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN I compleatly blanked on Louis. Yes Louis is 100% a allstar. We have aroldis Chapman and maybe Wilson contrares but Iâm not afraid to admit it. I can easily put my favourite team bias aside and give the proper players there roses.
-

Fans don't vote for pitchers. I was only talking about position players.
But, yeah, Varland is a legit all-star. I could see Cease, but the Jays are probably going to have too many players and other teams are going to need representation.

I mean, people were complaining that Lamelo Ball wasn't in the NBA all star game last year in San Francisco. Mainly the players and coaches didn't vote for him because the Hornets were playing like straight buns.
Maybe like the NBA,we can make fan voting count less, and make the players and coaches also vote for players. Now Vladimir "3 Homers" Guerrero Jr. and Alejandro "10 games played" Kirk won't be in actual contention for the AL all star starting lineup.
-
All Star voting has been a complete joke for many years. It's a popularity contest and that's it. I haven't bothered to even watch it in a very long time. Any time that the "fans" vote, it's a joke.
-
@Player99_MLBTS Vlad hit homer #4 the other day. Give the man some credit.

-
And Soto is better than him but behind him in voting. Better splits but lower counting stats due to injury and some are barely less like 1 less homer.
I havenât voted a single time but maybe consider voting and getting your fanbase to vote.

I think the problem is the Mets are in Queens. They probably still have dial-up there.

Yankees fans pad the votes against him.
First should be Olson.
