This game used to be fun

The problem is the reward bad contact over consistent contact. I’ll take an [censored] whooping, but if I have 20 plus good goods and loss to a guy with 5, it turns you away from the game. I used to play 300 plus ranked games and grind every event, I think I’m at maybe 50 games online this year.
-
I think I’m like 30-100, haven’t checked in awhile haha. Still fun
-
The problem is I’ve loaded into two event games, both Michael King glitching World Series p5 god squads, and I’m just grind some stats and it’s not fun. I got the 10k and moved on, but it wasn’t a fun experience.

The problem I see is pitching in this game has always been much easier than hitting. Just like in real life. But its still a video game. Give us better results for good and great inputs. They changed the strike zone now everything is a dot. Now loosen up the hitting a little.

I'm honestly shocked at how many people are not just bored by the staleness at this point, first year since the mid 2000s that I stopped playing often, must be Xbox and Switch newbies
This exact same comment has been made every single year.
The reports of The Show’s demise continue to be exaggerated.

Just played my first ranked game in several days. Didnt even last a full inning. I hardly play online at all anymore. Just seems like every game pitchers are dottin the corners all day long regardless of who’s on the mound.
I'm 100% convinced that you can thank the cheat pitching device for this. I think there are a TON of these in the game.

I agree. I just finished a game where every time I didn't swing my opponent's pitch release was perfect. Here I am playing with Classic mode because I am old and I get cramps in my hands. I pick a corner and the ball magically moves to the dead center of the strike zone, lol.

@Ditka06-_MLBTS if you loosen up the hitting anymore than it is, you'd never get out of an inning against some good players.

Ah yes, you’re the same as I. Classic pitchers unite!

@DemIsE4_XBL it’s so easy to pitch without cheating.

I still enjoy it. Wish content came out more frequently but that’s okay. Still play it daily and have loads of fun.

Dude people are so good at pitching lol. I thought I was good at pinpoint but I only get a perfect release half of the time.

I would guess that most of us started playing baseball video games for mostly the same reason….we love baseball! What’s not to love about it? Every single time I’ve gotten a little discouraged with how bad I suck at this particular video game, I simply pop open my handy dandy MLB app on the trusty iPad and after a couple of hours of watching live games, watching highlights of great plays, etc…I am a changed man. I posit that it’s not the game that’s stagnant…it’s us! Well, at least in my case. I absolutely love what’s been going on this MLB season….so many up and comers and how about the Miz? What he’s doing right now has never been seen before! I challenge anyone to watch some baseball if you need a booster.

Played some dude using Mis that was a complete nightmare. Could’ve been Mis himself. Completely off balance and dotted everything. It was kind of cool to lose to
Watch his RL games, dude’s an animal. Skenes has Olivia but all attention needs to be on the Mis.
Bob Gibson x 2 I hate to sell him short. Maybe 2.5
Have to figure out a way to get the brewers back in the AL. I offered them up for Houston but no executive called me back

They have absolute morons working for This company.

Point to me on the doll where you were touched

To piggy back on your point, a lot of "elite" players tend to reset or forfeit their runs every couple wins to avoid playing other elite players. Basically, to apply an old EASHL term- they scrub-hunt to inflate their W/L.
