I didn't experience the glitch, but it would have pissed me off. Most likely I would have reset the miniseason and posted about another issue with the WBC miniseason. But then again I finished Live Series by actually playing the game and fuming about the numerous wbc miniseason glitches and lack of Reds cards, i'm a simple man.

Took 2 months off from the game and just game back last week. What on earth happened? This menu lag is insane! There was a little lag in the beginning but I don't remember it being this bad at all! Not sure if anyone would purchase bundles of packs, because literally would like hours to open the packs, not to mention trying to sell the card. My guess is that bot traffic is obliterating their servers.
This HAS to be their top priority to fix this.

Is this a system thing? Like is it only on Xbox or switch? Or is it an ISP thing like the T-Mobile problem people have?
Just kind of curious as I haven’t yet run into this problem

This is what I've been wondering as well. I'm also on PS5 and my menus have been fine for a while now.

No problems on switch

I cannot fathom how anyone thinks that issue is less acute to the game's customer satisfaction than would be a glitch that was exploited by only a small number of people.
Who said that? I would like to see them come in on Sundays to resolve any critical issues but it is not within my power to make that happen or change their prorities.
I understand why they came in on a Sunday to resolve the exploit. It blew up in the middle of the night between a Saturday and Sunday. Even so lots of people exploited it for several hours to earn thousands of packs. Imagine how widespread it would have become if it was left open for an additional 24 hours and more people discovered that it was possible.
Not a single person has said that they should fix that exploit instead of resolving other issues. We just don't think it should have been ignored simply because other issues may have been.

It doesn’t matter what they do, they’re screwed.
-
Well, they can start by making changes even if seemingly small. Have to start somewhere

Would love if they would start with the bots.
But thats not a problem for them because people have to buy stubs just to complete with the market now.

Honestly I just don't think they can keep up with the Bots.
There is proof that they have tried to reign them in based on some regular people being being caught up and restricted earlier in the year. Don't underestimate the ingenuity and drive of the stub selling sites to stay one step ahead.

The app is just as slow as the game itself.
I've gone in a few times to update my TA spreadsheet and i cannot even get Programs to load, let alone get in to TA stats.
I note the Marketplace updates lightning fast, however.Seriously, how are we, what, three months in, and both the game and app are still both slow and unreliable? These are basic fundamentals.

I have found that turning off "cross play" in your universal profile seems to help with the lag a bit

@ebbets1957_MLBTS It's always been off for me.
-
it just took me 22 minutes to open 20 standard packs.
I scanned the other posts and didnt see this mentioned so if it’s already been said I apologize but I never open packs using the console. I prefer the app interface it’s so much faster and certainly much more market friendly.
The “opened pack history” tab in the app is especially useful if you have say a couple hundred to open you can blast thru getting them opened just as fast as you can tap the “open next pack” tab (I don’t even flip them) and then go back to the history tab and you can see what all you got and interface directly with the market from there. -

That said, why should this be the case? For how many years has this game title been able to perform basic tasks like opening card packs using the game's interface, without any issues, and suddenly this year it seems all goofed up.
I gave up on SDS to care about the quality of their game last year, so this situation does not surprise me, which itself is the worst part of it. Something basic, even boring, in terms of code demand, and yet it is corrupted.
This game code needs a total overhaul, a fresh rewrite from scratch. It seems quite clear the existing code has been layered so much now that it has strangled itself. But, such a redo requires hiring and paying a top flight and robust team of talented coders and I conclude that SDS is no longer willing to hire such a team.
How much longer this slow erosion of a once exceptional game continues is anyone's guess. But, each year's release seems to establish a new and higher level of anger, frustration, and outright rejection.

You said it all perfectly

Exactly. Fixing the bots might actually cost them money even if it makes the game far more rewarding for players. In the short term fixing bots might not make sense to them but long term it will drive players away and cost them.
-
But they will come in on a Sunday morning at 8am and fix a pack glitch that could lose them money. Then ban anyone that got 459 bronze and silver players from their 300 packs. Which if I may add was their mistake and they banning people for it... Pathetic.
Banning people for this isn't pathetic. It is the right thing to do. However, what is pathetic is all the bugs and glitches that haven't been fixed and letting actual cheaters play the game. This game needs cleaned up big time from all of these.

@NotesOfJohn_PSN One of the things that I also noticed, in addtion to turning cross play off, is that the slowness was "More" limited, and worse, on my sub accounts on PS5, so I removed all but my main account and my primary sub-account, and the menus and pack opening seem to be much fater.
-
On my end the menu lag has been pretty minor for most of the year, but suddenly in the last couple days it started getting really bad. I tried to do some flipping this morning, but it was taking like five or ten seconds for the game to recognize it when I hit buy or sell. I'm on PS5 and use Tmobile for my internet.
