The constant negativity is ruining MLB The Show
-
@Dolenz_PSN I agree with that. But then as I thought about it more - tens of thousands of people did it. They probably can’t even track it correctly + can’t ban them all. Though I think they should, personally.
Goes with my entire point about the community. People cheating and taking advantage of glitches is childish behavior and it’s putting SDS in a hard place.

@Player99_MLBTS WE HAVE THE MEATS!!!
As soon as I saw that post, an Arby's ad said that exact thing.

-
@Dolenz_PSN I had probably the most unenjoyable hour and a half on ranked earlier but I’m just gonna let it run off my back. I played 4 1000 icons in a row trying to make an early ranked run and let’s just say it resulted in my new 97 leiters era getting destroyed. But oh well I was playing the closest thing to the sport I love I can atm and was trying my best to make light out of it.

They just never let us down near this bad as this year. Months after release and Im over here as I type cursing at the screens because I cant navigate to one or another without delays. Cant draft a team for showdown and set my lineup with pausing 10 sec between each action ect. Thats some MLB the Show 17 and 18 stuff right there, when servers were so shotty you couldnt navigate in DD. On top of that, all the lazy content, the all collections require Tons of cards you have to purchase instead of work for, just all the stuff they had worked hard to fix over the last 5-7 years they just walked back on all of it this year. Then you have the market bots and things that 3rd party apps are just running wild all over the game and they can do nothing about it. Its like they made all the wrong moves with moving forward on this game. There used to be some thing you could highlight as improved for the best, I dont know if ANYTHING like that can be said today.

They probably can’t even track it correctly
But they should be able to. Everybody's game logs are saved.
I don't know their database behind the scenes but how hard could it be to query for players who lost dozens, more like hundreds, of games to the CPU with a score of 0-0 in the course of one day?
Even I was able to go to the YouTuber's page and verify exactly how many times he did it. I think it was like 160+ times in one evening.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I mean that’s true. I don’t know their reason for not doing it. Could also be the loud mouth influencers in the community who did it as well. And SDS just wants to leave it alone rather than stir anything up? Idk. I don’t agree with them doing nothing but I’m sure there’s a reason.

@Player99_MLBTS ok sds employee number 99
I work for Arby's fool. Best restaurant ever.
I went to biggest Arby's which is south of Richmond Va few weeks back, pretty impressive. I got a rotisserie chicken because I'm on a high protein diet because I lift and it was really good.

@Ditka06-_MLBTS better then my old job before my current warehouse job and the construction company I used to work at a dirty old little ceasars. Let’s just say was never going hungry. Couldn’t say no to a 15% discount on a 7$ pizza.

Who could?

@DrBear100_PSN hey man not great but as a high school/ just out of high school kid at the time it was clutch.

I agree with your position on “the glitch”. Like @dolenz_psn said, SDS surely knows who and how many took advantage of it. Like you, I don’t understand why they haven’t done something about it. There’s been enough “internet chatter” about it. It calls into question their integrity. IMO.
The best explanation I heard about why nothing has been done was from a podcast I listened to. (TBR). The guy said that maybe SDS thinks that since the market dipped severely right after, everyone had a chance to buy cheap and finish collections and/or invest. So, all is good (??) I don’t know…
I’d like SDS to identify the folks who abused the glitch. (I’ll let SDS define - “abuse”). Ban them for the rest of the year. Publish their IDs. Make a huge “stink” about it. Then tell the community that they can track this kind of stuff. And, going forward, there is zero tolerance. Start restoring their gaming company integrity. I know I’m keeping an eye on it.
-
@capardo_XBL I’m pretty sure if they actually did something TBR would be like first 10 on the list lmao
-
Ha! You might be right!!
I don’t watch many YouTube type stuff, but I did see one guy explaining “the glitch” while actually doing it multiple times in his video. I sat there watching with my mouth wide open in shock. So so brazen.
-
@Bridge-Piece_XBL just stop coming to the forum. Easy.
-
The Constant negativity is caused by SDS and their indifference to the people who play the game, especially as it feels like offline players.
-
@victoryphoenix_PSN this community has always been toxic. Offline been getting treated like kings for years.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS this years game is a slap in the face to all offline players, and SDS doesn't care how they anger offline players as their business model is to force everyone online. But online is where the true toxicity is boiling over.

This OP is laughable. Expecting a corporation to meet reasonable standards is simply reasonable expectations. You buy a car and you expect it to start in the morning, get you to work, start in the late afternoon, and return you home. If the car fails to meet those reasonable expectations, then criticism follows.
MLB 26 was released with bugs so profound that batters hit foul balls over the dugouts that were ruled homers! I still see as recently as today, new posts on MLB The Show themed web forums where video shows catches made for a final out of an inning being overruled in the game score with the game code inexplicably awarding the runs like a homer was hit vice being caught for the final out as was actually played out on screen.
These are deep and profound bugs in game code. Many of them have remained unfixed, including menus that lag several seconds from control pad input to finally carrying out the ordered action.
If you posted the OP for attention, then congrats. But, if you value your basic self-respect you really should have thought differently about writing it. Less than half the MLB 26 bugs that were discovered by the paying customers the first week of release remain unfixed. And again, that includes basic menus that are horribly bugged up.
And I could fill paragraphs with bugs that have remained in the game for several years despite hundreds of bug reports being sent to SDS over these years.
And you blame the customers, vice the company that put this garbage out there. OK, you play that way in real life and see where it leads you!
Yeah, I believe it's both though. This is the worst product I've ever seen them put out but I'm sick of hearing people cry about switch hitters because they can't spam sinkers inside followed by dotted sliders low and away.
I wish people would stick to things like if I pick the pitch allocated to circle and try to pick off a runner on first base it just quick pitches to home. Same with triangle pitch for second. They're literally breaking the game. Singles that should be doubles because battery are catastrophically slow out of the box. I'm watching my son play an old mlb the show on the switch and I'm literally thinking to myself [censored] that's playing better than mine. That's a legit problem. They have done some decent things ok maybe two. I actually like the new strike zone and I like being able to mass collect cards and prevent cards from being collected which I'm surprised they didn't screw that up more. Also, eff cheaters, exploiters and companies that don't uphold their TOS. I grinded like crazy to finish the live series and get miggy just to see tons of people to get it from a glitch with thousands of packs. The lack of response is frustrating.
Also, there's definitely less content even if it is grindy offline stuff. It was casual xp and cards to get when I'm exhausted after work and my eyes are too tired to play online.
tldr; I mostly agree minus crying over meta switch hitters [censored].

@ryguy034753_XBL not just talking about the forum
-
@victoryphoenix_PSN lemme ask you something. How can there be a toxic offline player? Yall act like every online game someone is calling you slurs and bunt dancing every at bat. If you want to say they “force “ you to play online that’s your own prerogative. It’s not like they don’t make online players play offline modes .

My whole WC was like that. I did win a few games but none of the games were enjoyable. I truly wish I knew the secret to how legend pitches (when watching streamers) are slower than my all star. I can easily see the pitches when watching but can't see or read anything at home. Been baffling me for years. If I knew a PS5 Pro was the answer I would buy one in a heartbeat. What I'm worried about is buying one and getting the same result. I tweaked some settings last night to try in the event. Luckily played Miz back to back home and away and both felt like trying to hit 120 mph wiffle balls.
