He was an easily attainable reward in the Weekend Classic, more hit the market- more saturated market, less stubs he'll go for.

@Sarge1387_PSN Makes sense, I didn't play at all this weekend so didn't see he was a reward. I grabbed a couple copies hoping value would creep back up when the new collection drops.

I bought those 3 cards around 8k. When they went to 13k, I sold them. Brilliant!
Let me see what they're selling for now. Ummmm.... over 40k.

Don't even get me started. I'm literally holding onto some higher value Retro Spotlight cards in case SDS goes full "yeah this update won't make sense either" and tanks me.

Probably just because everyone started trying to finish that collection once they were able to get Trout for cheap/free. Before that people weren't bothering with it. And there is a new collection coming Friday where you'll need to have that finished.

@Pergo_MLBTS Makes sense. I was all excited when I got Trout for dirt cheap cause I just need two more collections for 99 cabrera. I was like 'OK now I need one good DQ run to knock out the rest of these cheap cards and I'm one collection away.' But then I looked at the prices and said dammit! lol

It might go back up some, but probably not as much as it was before. There is also always the risk that they include him or a pack for that card series in other content/programs.
