I stopped playing this game in April. I played the free eBaseball title, saw the promise, bought the full Japanese version of Professional Spirits 2024-2025 on PlayAsia out of equal parts hope and curiosity, and I've now logged over 130 hours playing Season mode (equivalent to franchise). I love it, and with a new English language menu release coming in July, I don't plan on giving The Show another try until they completely revamp the physics and everything I read about it involves incredulous commentary about how drastically different the gameplay is. So... maybe never? We'll see.

Anyway, I thought I'd pop on here, see how things were going... WTF. It's worse than I thought, and at the same time, it isn't... sounds like there are some pretty serious gaffes and people are calling for heads, again... much of the same inflated indignation from the same malcontents, but I was genuinely surprised to see a few saner names tossing some sticks on the fire. Sounds like this game is barely hanging on by the skin of its MLB license...

For those of you who enjoy an exceptional franchise experience, I cannot recommend the Konami game enough. It does an amazing job of capturing the game of baseball (with a uniquely Japanese flair, so that might not be for everyone), so for those able to break their addiction to Diamond Dynasty and those willing to rediscover compelling gameplay with players you've likely never heard of (though players like Ichiro, Johjima, Seiya Suzuki, Darvish, and more are available), you might just want to give it a try.

It isn't without minor flaws, but where gameplay is concerned, there isn't a single thing The Show does better (I'd give the nod to MLBTS where defensive controls are concerned, but the defensive gameplay in Prospi is light years ahead).

For those staying put, I really do hope things change for the better. For those who don't, maybe I'll see you in some as yet created forum for Professional Spirits.
