Question for those who grinded/Did not participate in glitch
-
Yeah, I am considering being done. I am casual and get to play at night sometimes. Have been grinding to save enough for Judge as I am a Yankee fan. Got to what I thought was close (400k) after selling of a lot and all that progress got erased with this glitch overnight. I loved playing events and now I can't compete. It Is depressing, I probably have to hang it up unless something is done.

IMO, this year’s game has been an absolute disaster. Also, it feels like The Show game is at a crossroads. They have lost a ton of customer confidence, folks have not been happy, in general, with much of how this years game has gone.
Be interesting to see where they go from here. I’m a 6-year customer who is definitely on the fence as to whether this continues to be part of my gaming experience.

Done for '27 for sure. We'll have GTA VI, and the economy won't be getting any better by '27's launch.
This wasn't just a free pack or two. You know, like when I watch everyone get packs by using codes which have never worked even 25% of the time for me. Everything this company touches is pure slop now. This was hundreds and even thousands of packs per person we're talking about here. Enough to affect the market in mass. SDS is running an unregulated casino. At least I have a gaming commission to go to in Vegas, and we all know how cheaters are dealt with there.
I haven't looked, but I do believe Sony's TOS were violated here (not just SDS's), so I don't see how this goes unaddressed. Anyway, if I put out anything like this slop at my job, I'm toast. That's the social contract. You can't keep breaking that and survive. My money is going elsewhere for now, even if they make this weekend's disaster "right" because there's so much more wrong with the game this year. Speaking of gambling, what's the over/under on how many more "glitches" are in the game rn?

I gave up on Diamond Dynasty really early this year. Probably before the first week after release. I now just play this game like it was one of the old style baseball games for Sega Genesis, or N64 back in the day. Just offline, classic regular season baseball mode, with no worries or cares about cards or stubs. I've got my sanity back by doing so. Diamond Dynasty is a mode I will NEVER play again.
-
I have enjoyed the grind more this year than in past years. Those that used the glitch did not make my grind harder. They did not take anything away from me.
This glitch does not affect me in the slightest.
-
I didn’t even know there was a glitch going on when I was playing online. It doesn’t really bother me as much as others. But I don’t blame others for being upset.

For the most part it does not affect me except for the fact that the one card I really wanted to get, Ted Simmons, went from 162K buy Now price on 5/30 to 211K on 5/31. Just shy of a 50K jump in a day. I can only assume it is due to the influx of stubs earned by the exploiters
-
This is exactly the fallout from this glitch, think of it as a stub sale, but only for a minority of players.
I’ve seen online posts from people who made anywhere from 15M to a couple hundred thousand, that’s a ton of stubs now out in the community that will be spent causing inflation. Unless SDS claims back all those stubs, it’ll probably stay inflated for quite a while.
-
I don't believe they reclaimed stubs from the diamond equipment sold during rtts glitches in past years. I don't know if that was as manipulative as this (you at least had to play the game to get the rewards with rtts, not just enter game and quit immediately). I'm not 100 on them taking drastic action here because history suggests otherwise.

If nothing changes and WBC MS stays as is i will be gone by the next collection.
-
It’s not going to stop me playing, as I enjoy the game, but it’s raised some serious questions
I need Aaron Judge to complete the Live Series, I’ve completed every objective, every season, nearly all of TA, all showdowns, DQ, Mini Season, conquests, and I’m now 700k away from completing the Live Series
While at the same time, someone has completed a Mini Season and spammed out a glitch.
If nothing is done, they are giving everyone a green light to exploit the glitches, but it kills the market for those of us who didn’t do it, meaning everything now takes longer to complete
-
Wow, as if I thought this game couldnt get any more trashy. Im done. [censored] this.
-
@Cheezy-Taters_XBL Why do people always say this, but continue to play the game.
You’ve literally just played the CPU 25 minutes ago, and you’ll be playing later.
Never understood why people need to lie about stuff like this

Edit - Just seen you’ve been quitting for months on here, but playing often, strange
-
"MLB '26 Makes Me Sick," with it's laughable gatekeeper & diamond pull rates, but 2 wrongs don't make a right, imo.
I want to finish LS. Did it early-July last season, may not come close until later in '26. I may have felt slimy to bust it out this way, but I understand why many would partake. '26 has stunk and rubbed many the wrong way, and they want to storm SDS offices with pitchforks, lol. I can see it now: 'Let's get them!' 'Find Ashley & Ramone,' 'Tie them up for ransom.........but the Coach doll is mine!' Or something similar. It's actually a sad episode for a once stellar game. -
This will be the last MLB the show game I will ever play. I've put too much time into this game and truly get nothing out of it. If people play the game to cheat and reap all the benefits with no repercussions then I'm out. I grind, I buy stubs occasionally. I pre-order the game every year. I'm done.
-
@Rubbaneck34_XBL I also pre order every year I don’t buy stubs. I grinded a lot and this with doubtful bans considering we see how the cheating scandal is going mind u like many ppl have said this is much easier to detect. I’m just fed up and it feels like a slap in the face. All these people bathing in there infinite influx of stubs by letting a computer grind a video game for them not to mention probably well off cause they probably sell the stubs but are still doing it today 2 months into the cheating issue and it’s been leaked by streamers… I’ve just been stabbed in the back it feels like and my love for this game is bleeding out. And that’s from me who has everything in this game except the most recent set cause I haven’t been playing nearly as much cause I’m just fed up. This game isn’t what it once was it was the best NMs sports game out there.
-
A lot of yall should’ve got this “slap in the face” a long time ago apparently. Dropping $100 a month on stubs for this game? That they’ve clearly copy/pasted and put out a glitch filled/cheater filled product that they could care less about fixing?
Have they even put out any patches this year that have actually improved the game much at all besides making the strike zone what is should have been years ago?
I mean, it’s your guys’ money obviously, but when you give companies money like that when they clearly don’t care about you as a customer, that’s how products continue to get worse every year.
I know it’s the only baseball game out there. If you pay the admission price to get the game, I get it, but additional micro transactions on this game?
-
@genopolanco_PSN I don’t buy stubs I just pay the 100$ game price for digital deluxe that’s it.
-
That’s what’s so deflating for a lot of the long timers here. Seeing the way this company has ran this game into the ground. No customer service. No communication. No attention to detail. No accountability.
Idk if you were around these forums back in the early 2010’s. But you’d have the devs on here all the time interacting with all of us. It was very civil. Felt like they really cared about their product and like they were just fans of the game like we were.
I guess that’s what DD modes and micro transactions does to a gaming company though.
