Guess we'll never know now. I think you can get the 1000 icon from packs and pretty sure I've heard someone got a flawless BR icon from a pack too, but not 20.

People will try to tell you he is likely legit. Reality is most of the people at that level have likely been cheating for years. It's no different than COD, Apex, etc. HUGE majority of the top players are cheating in every game. Unfortunately, we'll never see it but if Sony and Microsoft ever got rid of these cheats you would see a completely different game. Would I be there? No, I am in my mid 50's.

I have done extensive research on cheating in video games. As you could tell by the discord cheat in this game that community is very secretive. There is a very high probability that streamers/partners are cheating. As you can see nothing will be done by SDS. Sony wants to raise prices on subscriptions and turn a blind eye to the cheating epidemic that has plagued online gaming for years. For some reason games think they need streamers to sell and promote their product. Majority are just snake oil salesmen.

Ah the fatalist. I doubt most will tell you he is legit. Cheating is in games but it’s not as prevalent as some seem to believe.

@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS yeah idk I know it’s not as much as I or people think we are just kinda brainwashed by the majority at this point but flawless 20x if legit is ridiculous.

@DemIsE4_XBL I think there is only a very very very slim chance he was legit. 20x flawless with how infested the game is with cheaters seems impossible unless u are one.

I just just hit the 50 milestone in March myself. I seem to play nothing but these types of players every single game when Events or BR come into play. Ranked can KMA. I only play for stats and rewards, not wins. Most of these end in a dashboard.

I seem to always be the home team and won't make it past the top of first because the opponent just finds every hole, gap and groove no matter where the pitch it thrown outside of the zone. If you attempt to hit and play along, all unhittable pitches are thrown where you will either pop it up or make one of those 'ghosty swings and misses" and are a strike weather or not you swing. They don't miss.

I still can't quite claim it's straight up cheating behind it but I'm not going to wait for that 5th 500ft homer in the inning to land because it came off of batter with 20 power.

Who knows, they may be just as good or better as the software and have to consistently defend themselves that they aren't cheating. But, that still leaves the question...why am I being matched up with a player at this skill level?

He could also just be redefining "building castles in the sky" as being determined by every minute he plays MLB the Show. Which, in some of these players' cases, is like 20 hrs a day, every day for a minimum 11 1/2 months a year, probably every year for the last 10+ years. Energy drinks, Adderall, etc...

TL/DR: They don't touch much grass.

I played BeTru2TheGame years ago. He ended up winning one of the tourneys SDS had and did well in others. (From what I heard I never watched them and didn’t play in any but the first)

Asked him how many times he had gone 12-0 and I think he said he just finished 11 or 12. I laughed. This is when it was worth like 1,000,000 stubs. Couldn’t believe people could be that good all the time.

I doubt the guy you ran into was twice as good as “esport level” players at the game this early in the year to have 20 is hilarious.

Games gone, that dude sells 1.3 million coins for 50$ on Reddit somewhere. SDS is putting out a St patties day Trout in every weekend classic tier to try and stop the stub transfers.

Yeah this screams cheating I tried messaging him after I left but was either blocked before I had the chance or he has his settings so I can’t. Like I’m sorry if u are gonna do this atleast make it believable like im sorry this guy is basically on a 2 flawless run a week pace of he was legit it’s impossible. And I did report can’t wait to keep up with this keep checking his game history and watch that nothing gets done about it welcome to the show…

It is. Do some research. You think cheat device (can't put name) was selling 30k a month at one point for people to play Minecraft?

Industry analysts and discussions around anti-cheat tracking estimate that over 1.4 million cheat devices (this was 2 and didn't include the discord one) combined have been sold in recent years.

That doesn't count cheat device which is what the discord was using. You don't think this is prevalent? Sorry but people that don't think this is prevalent are either using them or ignorant.

@DemIsE4_XBL you really think the majority of players are cheating? What’s the research say, more than 50%?

Well, I just played a definite cheater in Events of all places...crushes four really good pitches, then looks like a complete noob for three innings swinging wildly when I bring in O'Day...so yeah...

Depends on the game. Top 500 in any shooter yes. I think that number is at least 75%. Apex seems to be cracking down lately. COD is a joke. Watch Call of Shame. He provides evidence of a lot of streamers.

I do not believe it is more than 50% in the show but I do think there are a ton of cheaters at the higher ranks. You have to remember there are other cheats besides the one in the discord. Much more subtle pitching ones.

There are things to look for. I don't judge them off one pitcher. Sometimes there's a pitcher that you see really well and others you don't. Look for people that always hit good when they need runs especially if you are running multiple pitchers out there.

For instance he puts up 4. They may turn off the cheats or just contact swing until you close the gap. Forget Rogers, I'm sure that is already in the script by now but I always save him for the last few innings. Also keep in mind they have to put the box at the pitchers release point. You can slide step to get a different release point which messes them up until they readjust the box. To test them you can also intentionally walk a batter, throw a normal pitch for a ball, then throw some slide steps.

@DemIsE4_XBL it is still a lower number. You would think off the comments section there is way more. Major of the fanbase is also not in the high levels.

It is a problem though. Right now I am in 700 bracket. I would bet my right nut I see at least 3 next weekend. Sony/Microsoft should have handled this years ago instead of putting it on the devs. This is a console problem. Sony wants to raise subscription prices and not handle the cheaters. Great business decision.
