Frame Rate Drops

Am I going crazy or are there massive frame rate drops in the game? I feel like I can't find consistent feedback saying the same thing. I only play offline for what it's worth. I notice it consistently on foul balls well out of play, abs reviews, occasional cutscenes (haven't figured out specifically which ones yet), and usually when there's multiple runners on base. I've tried so many different things to fix it but I think I've come to the conclusion that it's just what the game is which is incredibly disappointing given that we're 2 and a half months into this game cycle.
