Why are the new chase cards so much more rare than the older ones?
-
Earlier in the year, chase cars like adley, Ted, and Craig only peaked like at 100k, but the new chase cards are like 200k-300k. Feel free to give explinations.
Higher OVRs
-
Newer. Less time for people to pull them. High OVR. The most recent is a switch hitting catcher.
But mostly because I really want Simmons and can't afford him.
-
It has nothing to do with overalls. Expensive cards are expensive because they have laughably low pull rates. Ive opened ao mamy chase packs and its always an 85.
-
- Less stubs at the beginning of the game, more stubs now
- Better cards
- cards are good enough that ppl pulling will want to keep thus lesser supply.
- More demand for these than the early ones

That does not answer his question though. He asked why the newer ones are more expensive than the older ones.
Chase Pack 1 Julio Rodriquez had a 4.052% chance of being pulled.
Chase Pack 8 Ted Simmons has a 4.052% chance of being pulled. So while those odds are not great they are equal so other factors that I and others mentioned have to be the reason they are more expensive.
Ted Simmons is the highest rated switch hitter in the game right now. Not the one with the most power but the one with the highest overall. He has the 5th highest OVR in the game and he is the Highest OVR card that can be purchased on the market.

I’d like to add that popularity is probably a big factor too, people like the swings of Simmons and Santana better than Adley’s for example
-
There was also a lot more people playing at the beginning of the game and more people buying 50 pack chase packs. Live series cards had more value too in the beginning because people were just collecting the cards. People buy less 50 pack chase packs.
Also there were a lot of different cards and collections people were trying to still collect. The chase cards were not as valuable in the beginning to be honest. The live series diamond cards and collection were better cards for awhile.
Chase cards now are way more valuable. Many people now have a lot of the collections done so they just save their stubs to buy Chase cards which drives up the value.
-
Last two Chase cards are way more valuable to use in game. Its funny that Santana is now going for 100k more than Simmons - because the power stat means way too much in this game.
-
@rubicante23_PSN it’s also cause Simmons’ card is in circulation right now while Santana’s is no longer but yeah you right
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN Unless they've changed it recently, you can pull any chase card from a chase pack, it's just the current one is more likely.
-
Correct, current Chase is a 4.052% chance, previous Chase cards are 0.055%
