@GoozeFn_PSN you are miss understanding me. Im not saying its necessarily pre determined as in if the cards are already in the packs. Im saying the game can give you whatever cards it determines, not based off of random odds. Im saying what we are getting is not completely random.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN its more to it then just pre determined. That is one aspect but yeah. The best way I can explain it is very simply. If I open a pack it should be completely random as to what I get right. No influence from the game etc. Im saying its not completely random.

@GoozeFn_PSN agree to disagree, its not random based on the posted odds. Those odds give us the baseline yes. But the game is still influencing what we get, not based on randomness of those odds per player. Randomness means random. No other influences other than odds itself.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL No one has ever said they are completely random. You’re trying to argue against points no one is making. It’s all based off odds. Why would they create this elaborate program? What purpose would it serve? Who would they be deciding to give better pulls to? Why would I get chosen for such good pack luck when I haven’t bought stubs and have made millions on the market? YOU DON’T MAKE SENSE.

@GoozeFn_PSN if you are asking me to explain their algorithms and why they do things. I cannot. All i know is its not based off random odds. There are influences in the game that determine the diamonds you get or dont get. Just like the wheel. Any time there are influences above and beyond odds. Its no longer random. Its like playing black jack at a casino we know the odds right. But the dealer decides give you certain cards within the boundary of the odds. Is that still considered random.

You’re mixing up two different concepts:
Pre-determined probabilities vs Pre-determined outcomes
Those are not the same thing statistically.
SDS absolutely pre-determines the probability table for packs. Every card has a weighted chance to be pulled.
What likely happens is a standard RNG system: the game rolls against those published probabilities at the moment the pack is opened, each pack opening is treated as an independent event
That means the system is not necessarily deciding beforehand what specific card you personally receive. It’s selecting from a weighted probability distribution in real time.
A weighted RNG system is not the same thing as a scripted outcome system.

I don’t ever remember a time when it was this bad. I’d been frequenting the forums long before using my PSN in ‘21- and while there’s an ounce of truth to what @whitejw98_mlbts said in the sense that there’s a few doomers every year that would not be happy no matter what- in 14 years of playing MLBTS, stalking the forums- I’ve never seen this much vitriol. And I think it’s definitely earned.

@SavageSteve74_PSN you could argue an rng system is not the same as random odds. We as the players deserve complete randomness. Not an rng system, that determines cards based on their probabilities. And there may not be a way to have 100 percent randomness based on their odds. Maybe it is an rng system everytime you open a pack.

Forums by nature will always be negative, but the tone is usually set by the quality of the game. There have been years past (back when this was a fun product with lots of content) where all you would see on the forums is "I lOsT sO tHeY mUsT bE cHeAtInG" posts. There were years I wouldn't even come to the forums because there was literally nothing about the offline content, just the Onliners crying as Onliners are wont to do. Now that Offline content has become the red headed stepchild of SDS's attention, yeah the posts are brutal and 99% negative covering just about every aspect of the game.

@SavageSteve74_PSN how was i being condescending in this chat? Maybe you are the snowflake. Yes why play a game if the goal is not to get better at it. My goal is to continue to get better at the game and not worry about packs, because packs in this game are absolutely garbage.

He must be flavor of the month. That is who I pulled in my 50 mp pack. Not random.
