I'm disappointed that he and Pujols are out of reach for me. Admittedly I have not played much this year but when some of my favorite players seem completely out of reach (for now) it does not actually incentivize me to play more.
I'll most likely buy Gibson and Ozzie this weekend and that will make me very stub poor so that will be my theme team for a while.
Oh, yeah, I recently had to spend 20K to get that Spotlight Jordan Walker as well. So as of today that is 400K worth of Cardinal cards only available in packs in the last 3 weeks.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN I would have loved for Gwynn to be behind that same paywall is what I’m saying. If you’re putting everything into that goal, even as a casual, it’s very doable.

@GoozeFn_PSN same I would love a big money Sox player. I tried Ted if it makes dolenz feel better he’s not missing out on much unfair kinda tho cause it was vs Randy I sold tho didn’t wanna lose to many coins when his value drops.

For my Cardinals Theme Team which I run 99% when playing offline modes he is a definite upgrade. And other than that, he was my favorite player (along with Brock) when I was a young boy.
I am probably less disappointed that I can't afford this particular card than I am with the realization that, like Pujols, it could be October or November before I see another Cardinals version that I can actually obtain, assuming that Simmons gets a 99.

Is it any wonder I have not felt incentivized to actually play much? I assume other teams have the same issues so I am not saying that the Cardinals are in worse shape than any other team. I'm just explaining why I personally feel less motivated this year.

I realize that. And Church is cheap/easy to get now as well.
I was mainly pointing out why I don't feel as motivated to play when so many cards are simply in packs and need to be purchased, regardless of how cheap or expensive they may be
I don't flip or invest so spending all my stubs every few weeks for a new pack card is not something I take lightly.

@Dolenz_PSN I mean, making stubs is pretty easy if you really want to do it. If you woke up tomorrow and did nothing but play DQ the whole day, you'd probably pass out at 2am with 200k stubs.
Do I want to do that? Nope. But, im just making the point - getting virtual currency in this game is easier than any other game out there.
