    Will all of you keep playing prior MLB The Show titles? To quell the urge of not buying the latest and greatest.

    What other games do you guys play? When I finish whatever content I need to do in Mlb the Show, I play Battlefield 6, Crimson Desert just to name a few.

    • I played Crimson Desert almost exclusively for 2 months. It came out at the same time as The Show
    • As soon as I finished it Forza Horizon 6 released just a few days later.
    • Right now as I type my console is downloading the new 007 game.

    Mix in some Puzzling Places and MS Flight Sim on PSVR2 and there is little wonder why I have not played much of The Show this year, especially when you consider that 5 of the top 8 Cardinal players are simply in packs, 1 is a big expensive collection and the another is in DQ (yuck). Only Bruce Sutter is earned with normal gameplay (in mini seasons)

    I’ll be playing 26 for the foreseeable future. I’ve been working on a roster for weeks. Equipment updates, including minor leaguers. Generic face edits. Ratings/potentials updates. Keeping up with transactions. I’m not even halfway done.

    I’m going to play a full career of a RTTS. That’s why I’m spending so much time on prospects and I’m increasing a lot of their potentials so real prospects stick in the league throughout my career rather than a bunch of fake generated players.

    Figured this was the year to really be detailed with it since I 100% wont be buying next year and probably even beyond. Last time I got super deep into a RTTS playing every game, I didn’t buy another MLB game for 3 years.

    Then there’s always GTA 6 right around the corner.

    @genopolanco

    I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. I'm a franchise guy through and through...I'm also only about doing things the right way for a long time. It has to be as realistic as possible for me to get to the full level of satisfaction I've experienced when playing Madden back in the day. Are you PS5 or Xbox? Whats your gamer tag? If you allow for your rosters and franchise details to be downloaded...I'd like to do that for my next round of Franchise. I just started a White Sox franchise that I'm committed to for the foreseeable future. At least 3 seasons. My 7 year old chose them for my Show 26 rebuild/build. We had a solid spring training and the season thus far is not too bad. Sliders were adjusted for full immersion and I downloaded a roster into the universe that I thought would be realistic. It is but I should have just gone with the current MLB Show roster update. I say that because I really am trusting someone I don't know. I based the download on ratings and # of downloads. Regardless...its a solo offline/online franchise. It will serve as my primary build.

    @LYNX6937_XBL I agree. The lack of effort to add any new little details is a joke. Every year it’s gets worse. They just recycle the game every year. All they care about is DD

    @Messiah_Ortiz_84_PSN

    Yeah I play every pitch of every AB of my RTTS and play on GOAT with sliders. Trying to get as realistic of stats/career progression as possible.

    I don’t know if you’d really want to use my rosters. I also edit a lot of the contracts. Sign a bunch of their guys to longer contracts so there’s less player movement and turn the trade slider to 0. It’s not realistic in that aspect, but neither are the trades and signings the CPU makes, so I’d rather have guys stay on the same teams longer and just develop their prospects that I boosted their potentials on and through the draft, so there’s still some semblance of today’s rosters when it’s 2030 or whatever. It also evens the playing field a bit with team payrolls so some of the typical lower market teams end up with bigger payrolls doing this. But I do still keep a gap with teams like the Dodgers and Mets with massive payrolls. It’s a very RTTS based roster since you have no say in what any team does with their roster.

    But yeah I can message you when I’m done and you can check it out if you want. It’s not going to be perfect by any means but I feel like it’s a lot of better than the live rosters SDS puts out. Definitely with the prospects for sure.

    At this rate, it’ll probably be after the trade deadline before I’m done so I can make those trades. I’ve only completed the NL West, STL, MIL, PIT, and a little bit the CIN.

    You are prolly done 007 already, that game was comically short

    I quit playing. Only played franchise but for as basic as it is, its still buggy and missing some QoL features. SDS has become EA Lite. OOTP or just done with baseball games.
