The repeatable innings goal is nice. If I wasnt back on the road I would hop on multiplayer for a bit. No way I'm doing online from a hotel tv.

I just wish we had more mission variety. Steals? Walks? Pxp with specific series? Bring back pxp for multi-player card use? Give us more flexibility, especially those of us who can't hit.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN If they are dumb enough to take it away, I will go right back to not playing MP.

@mietha_PSN I hope they don’t but some people who are now just gonna get on the game and bump out online the whole time like myself are gonna get so much rewards.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN They have obviously been trying to push people online all year. This is the first thing they've done that will actually work. If they backtrack it, they clearly don't want people online as much as they thought they did.

@mietha_PSN agreed I don’t think they will back track it they may maybe it more difficult. But at the same time the normal casual player wouldn’t really get all the benifits from this I would. They may only get one wheel spin out of it if that.

@mietha_PSN I don’t think they’ll back track. It’s going to take more than 6 9 inning games for a wheel spin most of the time. We’re talking 3+ hours per spin. You still have to finish the program first. Most spins are going to give you the worst rewards like 5k stubs. It’s a nice balanced change, but it’s not going to be massive rewards.

    @On_a_Power_Trip_PSN

Just says "Tally 9 innings pitched in any multiplayer mode"- so you just need to pitch 9 innings. Only way you won't get it is if you're the road team and you're losing.

@Sarge1387_PSN It’s more complicated than that. If you don’t pitch full innings with pitchers, you don’t get credit for the inning. Say you play a 9 inning game and your pitching box score looks like this:

    Starter goes 5.1
    Reliever goes .2
    Reliever goes 1.2
    Reliever goes .2
    Reliever goes .2

You get credit for 6 innings.

Also, say you’re going into a ranked game and only need 1 IP for your next 5k mission. You throw 9 full innings. You get credit for 1 because that’s all you needed to finish the mission and the innings don’t roll over.

@GoozeFn_PSN And the mercy rule. And people quitting. Etc. It will actually very rarely be 1 game = 9 innings when the mission is at 0. Honestly, I've not had it happen yet.

You get credit for 6 innings.

    I'll test this out tonight.

That's been the norm forever though, I think the confusion lies with the vagueness of the mission description. I do think you may actually be right because normally it would say "with any pitchers".

    Guess I'll find out tonight

@GoozeFn_PSN good to know. So basically when you bring in a relief pitchers try to pitch a full inning. Or try to finish the inning with your starter. Both

@mietha_PSN This is where having an event always up goes a long way.

@Sarge1387_PSN Sure. I’m just saying it’s going to take longer than it seems.

@Ditka06_MLBTS Yes, it only counts full innings. I don’t think it has to be within the same inning though. For example, you could bring in a reliever mid inning with an out. Finish that inning which is .2 and get another out for a full inning in the next inning.

There is little chance the wheel is more stubs per hour than miniseasons or DQ. But people who enjoy online may spend more time there instead of the more profitable offline modes. So win for SDS. I doubt they backtrack. 54 innings for a wheel spin is a lot. The first few will be multi tasking the other wheel spin goals though.

To be clear it’s 9IP, and MLBTS doesn’t do fractional IP’s so your pitcher needs to pitch 1 full inning.

I think them adding this Wheel Spin will just break out the sweats and the cheaters even more.

It may be because its the beginning of the new program as almost every I played last night was against a player with a WS banner and all their hitters had BA above .300.

Made it the worst possible experience.

I'll have to see how the upcoming Event plays.

But if I cant get enough Event games in, to at least finish the MP Program and get a few wheel spins, I'm just going to cut my losses and just buy the cards once they hit QS value.

@Sarge1387_PSN First Gentleman as correct. I played a 9 inning game last night and only got credit for 7 due to switching pitcher mid inning. The same pitcher has to get all 3 outs for it to register as an inning pitched.

The main problem with this is having 8 ip then going into a full game and only getting credit for one inning to complete the mission and every inning after counts for nothing.

Would be great if there was constantly an event to not waste your time on a full game when only one or two innings are needed. However there are constantly week long gaps between events. B/R is an option but then you have to pay 1500 stubs.
