Base running is a joke
-
When I hit a ball to the outfield and it’s clearly a double or more, I’m telling my runner to continue past first base or second, whichever it may be the player stops on the bag or just passed. It goes back to the base, then wants the balls thrown in he starts to advance to the next play which ends up getting him out and you don’t notice until the camera pans back over because it’s on the player that has the ball in the infield making it look like the play is over. They need to fix this.

Are you using buttons or analog?
If it's buttons, you hold the button for the base you want to go to. Analog, you hold the thumb button to the base.
I was having some confusion at first when I was trying for a triple and kept holding the button for second and the runner would do what you are describing. Round the bag and then stop and go back. You have to switch to the next button/direction to get them to run to the next base.

No this isn’t even that bad the worse for me was yesterday I’m a ranked game runners on 1st and 2nd no outs clear line out to the right fielder. I’m not just pressing but MASHING r1 to return my runners yet they completely ignore my input slide into the next base and let the guy turn a triple play… I’ve had this happen multiple times this year too where my base runners just decide we don’t care what button u press we are going oh u try to get us to turn around to late baby this train has already left the station and is going down hill.
no but rly is there any fix for this one I don’t know about? -
WHy players are still pulling a f(*cking plow out of the batters box is a mystery to me. It's ridiculous and NOT realistic.

Im using button, so just hitting r1 to advance but they ignore it until the ball is in the infield. Not to mention when you tell them to go back its like they are in a puddle of mud upnto their waist. Very slow to respond. Its not realistic at all. You should be able to pickle and get out of it not run super slow while they are running twice as fast as you. It makes this game really frustrating to play. Im ok with competitive and challenging but not good with flat out unfair.

@Barfy-Bad-Gas_XBL I agree ive played other teams where the guy running to first is either beating the throw or just barely out. But my player isnt even half way before they are out and never close to beating out the play. Same problem when stealing, i can have a big lead off and still not get the steal. Its like my guy is walking not running. But i have the computer steal on me with ease.

I totally agree about the movement. They are very slow out of the box and very slow returning to base.
Have you tried to individually advancing instead of using advance all?
As an example: You have runners on 1st and 3rd and you want the runner on 1st to steal. You aim at the runner and hit steal so the guy on 3rd stays where he is.
It may work for normal baserunning, as well.

@StinkyMcPooter_XBL no i haven’t but i will give it a shot. Ty

@Barfy-Bad-Gas_XBL no doubt…. The speed ratings are kinda trash… they have Elly as a 86 or something like that! Insanity! That man can flat cook, definitely one of the fastest guys in the league. And why he isn’t a diamond out of the box is beyond me. At least they spotlighted him as a 94 I suppose, since he killed all of April.

@FierceViking2_PSN unfair? Unfair is swinging at a fastball with pci on target and the ball passes through the bat! I noticed it a couple seasons ago… it’s not all the time obviously,,, but definitely more prevalent in the moments and challenges.
