I won't be able to complete 2nd inning in time
-
they’re listening!

Boss moved down to 400k for the 3rd inning, and more XP being offered in the missions.
I think the missions give less xp actually, they top out at 7500, pretty sure they were 10k last inning
The spotlight and cornerstone give the same as last inning though -
Here's the problem with the "YoU jUsT hAvE tO gRiNd" argument. I am playing the same amount I did last year. I completed every Inning program including many wheel spins last year. They also had much more offline content last year. Yet this year I have yet to finish an Inning program, and am going to be short on this one as well. You want to stand on a pedestal and have us worship you that you are the greatest gamer of all time because YOU finished the program but the rest of us aren't worthy and it should only be awarded to GREAT gamers like you, have fun with the delusion dude. Here's the facts though, the more of us disappointed with content, not finishing innings and getting rewards, the more of us SKIP buying this game next year.
EXACTLY!!!

Is there a way to verify exactly how much off-line content they had last year? I keep hearing this commentary about having less off-line content this year, but I feel like I’ve been way more engaged playing the game this year than last year.
-
I put in all the time that I could, played a few MS, completed Conquest, and was only able to get to 407k (I think, I’m at work now). The way it is now is really a grind.

Looks like last year
6 DQ maps (excluding starter)
3 Mini seasons
18 conquest maps (excluding starters), but 4 of those were city connectThis year we have 3 DQ (excluding starter), one of which is essentially a second starter
4 Mini seasons
10 conquest maps excluding startersNote that people were still working through the bite sized TA pieces available, as it devolved to Hits/Hrs/Ks a bit slower last year. Also some of the programs took a bit more effort but still not much grind
At this point last year the big complaint was lack of good repeatable content outside of DQ so they dropped 3s map in mid may (not included above). Offline content wasn't great last year early on (unless you liked DQ), it picked up around the all star break when mini seasons became much more frequent and the draft map dropped
2026 had an amazing launch but the period in between new threads and cityscapes was awful. Getting a decent sized conquest on an inning drop is a start right after Witt program, lets see what the rest of the week brigs

@LadySwampfox_XBL i swear they made it harder, i play almost every day and i barely completed this one and didnt come close the first one. Its [censored] ridiculous.
-
@m_caraballo24_PSN I wholeheartedly agree. I don't even know how I was able to complete the first inning, but it was just barely. I didn't even get to do a random reward spin, lol.
-
@go4stros25_PSN Sorry mate, but yeah. Only way to get 500,000 xp is pretty much having no outside life. Hurts your fee fees or not, it's pretty much spot on the truth.
-
@go4stros25_PSN Online mode is unplayable, and full of cheaters. The smart users have all moved offline only. In fact, smart users won't buy this game yearly and just opt out of using Diamond Dynasty altogether, and play the none-live service elements to this game. I play to keep MLB the Show for 3-5 years and just play regular season modes, or couch co-op with people at home.
-
...as an offline, NMS player with a job, it just isn't fair.
295,000 out of 500,000 xp. How am I supposed to come up with 200,000 xp in 3 days.
I'm right there with you. Can't justify the time it takes.
-
It's totally lack of content for offline players. I do not play online. I play every day. I've completed every program, mini seasons, showdown, conquest map, 2 diamond quests, and countless play vs CPU games and for the time in years I did not complete an XP program.....not only did I not complete it, I was well short. I can't imagine how short the casual gamer was. This a big kick in the nads by SDS.

Yep I’m in the same boat. I’ve slowly just learned to log in, complete what released and then step away. Being able to complete the XP path and acquire every card is officially a thing of the past. They realized they could make more money by making people buy the xp reward path bosses and tanking the odds on packs to beyond awful.
I’m going to play on and off this year since I’ve already bought the game and then I’m done for good. The game is now for online players only or people that want to live on the game non stop and/or buy a ton of stubs. Hoping enough people walk away that it craters the franchise and somebody else picks up the mlb license and runs with it. The sooner microtransactions go away for good and it’s seen for what it really is, gambling geared towards kids, the better.

Hope the short term profits were worth it.
