NEW STRIKE ZONE TOMORROW
-
“ We have updated the Diamond Dynasty strike zone to match real-world ABS rules, meaning every pitch that touches the zone will be called a strike. This change matches the strike zone we had employed across the game when the ABS option was on since the launch of MLB The Show 26. “
Devs cooked here. Pitching is back, gentlemen.
EDIT:
Seems like it’s not as perfect as some of you already mentioned:

Looks like the strike zone box that shows before the pitch will get smaller. So sounds like the same pitch locations will be balls and strikes.

Cool if true
-
Believe it when I see it. These guys don't have a great track record of implementing what they say that will. PCI shrinkage anyone? Lol

Antilock Break System -
Ah their cars updated or self patched.
False alarm
-
There’s information on that also from the developer in the update and about cheaters and exploiters
-
@SpecialFrosty_PSN are they also gotta make the plate right size. It’s wider in the game than it is in real life. Basically gonna make the game even more insufferable now with this. More and more spamming certain pitches.
-
If true, completely changes the gameplay - id like to see it, and give people ABS challenges (box must disappear though)
-
What are they going to break with this? Also, how about you deal with the rampant cheating and the market bots?
-
@go4stros25_PSN I hope the shrink the box if this is true. The box in the game is already wider than actual one in real life. Now it’s just gonna promote spamming the same couple of pitches.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS the pci doesnt travel far enough to hit a ball if its low and away and barely touching the edge of the zone. Strikeouts and foulballs are about to go way up.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS They have already said the box will be smaller. It’s just a visual change.
-
@go4stros25_PSN I agree that strikeouts and/or foul balls will go up (probably not both, depending on the game), though I’m pretty sure the actual dimensions of the zone aren’t changing, so unless the ‘visual’ change ends up affecting how we can move our PCIs I don’t see this being an issue
