Just recently purchased a Victus bat for my men’s league from a distributor, and this specific bat was a bat that was made for Carter Keiboom (his name is xxxxx’d out) and It got me thinking……

Not sure the exact year that DD started rolling out the prospect/future star/minor league players…but, who are some of your favorite prospect cards of all time in this series who were FILTHY in MLBTS but never really made their mark in the bigs?

Think my list starts with Nate Pearson from ‘21. Think i was something like 22-2 with him online with an era under 1.50. He couldn’t be touched.

Don’t wanna reel off other names, I’ll leave that to you guys cause this does seem like a fun topic.

It’s also fun to go back to the prior Show DD databases and see how many swings and misses there were. Quite a few

Jarred Kelenic. The show made a big deal out of his first game and being promoted. Just hasn’t clicked at all in the majors even though he is being every opportunity in the world with different teams.

He may have Jordan Walker disease IE they brought him up too early. He’s too young to give up but yeah his card raked

Funny enough the Mariners were criticized for not brining him up sooner and purposely extending his service time. One of among other reasons why their GM at the resigned for commenting on it and on other players.

Yep. All good, in due time

The immense amount of pressure on these kids is easy to write off but always remember how old they are, and the scrutiny they face and etc etc. I don’t feel sorry for them ever but management helps make them worse a lot of the time

I’ve only seen Griffin twice now since we’re finally playing an NL Central team but he ain’t Wetherholt. They need to send him back down. They’re trying to skenes him

Future Stars (players who had already debuted in MLB) started in 2017.
Prospects (those who had not yet debuted) began in 2020.
    Draft cards started in 2023.

Yoan Moncada, he has gotten a diamond here and there over the years but has never(I don't think) been above a silver. He was one of the first future stars.

And the Mets were HEAVILY criticized for trading him. Rightfully so at the time.

Yeah I think this post would encompass all those for us old timers

Besides for Carlson there was a Gorman in one of those that raked too.

Wish they’d teach all these kids to switch hit

So they’d be relevant in MLB the Show
