But its releasing in November. 4 months before MLB 27. People will absolutely no life it for a while, but after some time people will go back to playing multiple games.

There was a reddit post with a picture of the team that created GTA3

Tiny team changed the industry. Some went their separate ways, some still are there. They never allowed themselves to be filled with nonsense or bugs

And they shall live in perpetuity for industry standards

“No thing I work on will suck, Ever.”

SDS has a like-sized team that allows themselves to suck - with Sony backing capital - in 2026

Supergiant, (Hades) stardew valley guy, Slay the Spire - [censored] I like people who care and actively seek to fix things - I’ll just autopay for

Even on autopay because I trust they didn’t release anything that was [censored] to start with.

GTA V is 12 years old and STILL has a massive player base. GTA VI is arguably the most anticipated game release in a long time. Gamers are going to flock to that game because GTA and Rockstar are known for out-of-the-box and continued success, and like someone else said smooth launches

GTA doesn’t just lose its player base just because other games. Most games? Sure ARC Raiders, Helldivers, MLBTS even drop off after initial launch popularity. Grand Theft Auto is and always has been the exception.

Having a week between content multiple times in the first month of the mlb season is a terrible idea. Not many programs. Less team affinities. No BR program. Events lasting 4 days. No earnalble cards in DQ since launch. Small weekly spotlight and lack of big monthly programs. Lesser cornerstone programs. I mean that’s just bad management.

We used to have stuff separated every few days. Ranked seasons events and BR programs ending throughout the year different times. The BR program was one of my favorite things ever. I honestly don’t know what would be positive this year compared to their previous years to be honest.

I knew we were going to have problems when their big announcements were more pxp for hitters and mods. Minor stuff. And the other things they’ve announced were complete failures.

Really the best thing to happen in this game is pitching in the stretch in offline modes. This is a sports game you would see released at the end of the systems life like those FIFA games with only roster updates.

@Teak2112_MLBTS I bet they’ll release with the story mode only and online will come later like GTA 5. People aren’t going to be going away from GTA 4 months into that game. We’re not talking about the show or Madden here.

They also did that with RDR2. The story is basically a tutorial for online, getting you used to the map and controls etc.

Except rookie in MLB the Show isn’t a tutorial into anything, or anything at all.” It’s press button open pack cry cry buy buy” like one of those candy crush games or Pokemon

Probably won’t ever happen but I remember the last MVP Baseball game with Manny Ramirez on the cover. They had a batting practice type mini game that was like a pinball game. You faced a pitcher and hit ball into all kinds of objects, up ramps, through moving targets and accumulated points. I don’t remember what caused “outs”. I think it would make a “different” way to get batting practice while accumulating XP, cards, Stubbs, etc…

I always thibk its funny when you see on the xp tree you will get like 500 stubs or 1000 stubs near the very end. Like I think you need 475,000 xp to gain 1000 stubs lol.

Or giving a silver player as a reward, like ohhh ty for the 75 stubs.

I remember when you used to get a chance, although pre-determind, at 9 different LS cards after playing a 9 inning Play vs CPU game.

And the chances of pulling a Diamond increased a small percentage the higher the difficulty you played.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN I do remember that, and I don't remember when they got rid of it. It was never an incentive, but it was a nice thing to see at the end and sometimes got golds. Why does stuff people liked get nuked all the time?

Yeah it’s a slap in the face much like the stupid icons. The rewards should be at least 5 pack bundles and 5-10K stubs at each of those intervals.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN I remember that too. When you would grind stats against the CPU you would get a card after the game. I was just thinking about that the other day and wondering why they took it away. Felt like I got more golds playing 9-inning games than out of their packs, maybe thats why they got rid of them.

@luv-hogie_XBL from what I’ve this year their only focus is to increase in game sales, likely because with the lockout next year there won’t be any hype and they’re sales will struggle. Hopefully they save face a bit and start doing something to make the community happy, examples, more content, better anti cheat, making nms and investing like past years.
