As an offline player, I get the hint
-
If you play on rookie, you’ll get a Ballin 5 pack just about every run through on the New Threads MS for the strikeouts, if not every run through, about every 1.5 times through.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS you know that the way most people make money is by grinding mini seasons or diamond quest right? You don't make any stubs playing multi-player.
I've always said multiplayer should have a wheel.
But that DQ map people grind? Released March 13th That miniseason people grind? Also released March 13th. Even new threads has been over a month.
Inning 2 comparison:
Offline: 13000xp
Online: 110000xpOffline: 0 sellable cards
Online: 8 sellable cards (not counting weekend classic)Online pack rewards are far better than offline pack rewards
Yes, the new mini season on Friday may shift things a little, but its almost a guarantee to be too little too late for xp
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Online is far more rewarding. It’s just not repeatable.

And I dont have an issue with it being more rewarding in packs, but the xp shouldnt be so imbalanced
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS I have completed at least 50 mini seasons by now and completed every love series team except Yankees. Grinding is the way everyone does it.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Oh I agree. Last year we had significantly more programs with xp chunks.

Maybe actually read the post that started this. Nowhere does it say stubs.
It does say content and xp though. 3 conquest maps (none of which are large). 1 showdown. 13k xp.
And grinding launch content for packs to sell players for stubs to buy new players is an atrocious content loop.
-
It’s a hamster wheel is what it is, and there are two ways to get off of it: burn some cash and/or go play/do something else. It doesn’t have to be like this.
-
@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN If you really believe that, I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you. Offline players do not drop loads of money on the game like online sweats and try hards. There may be a few here and there, but the majority are online sweats.
-
@LuvMyXBOX_XBL It is nearly there. They just have to do a few more scummy things to go full blown EAids.
-
I used to grind to finish the programs and inning paths when it was worth it.
Now it’s hardly worth the time. I used to play three or four offline games vs cpu a night…tonight I played one…and shut it off.
There’s just zero incentive anymore.
yup. after a long week at work I use to look forward of spending time on a Friday night trying to grind through a topps now drop and conquest maps and other stuff they use to give us back when Ramone and crew were doing their thing. It was like a gift to myself. And I didnt mind grinding for those rewards then because it was fair and offline players were respected.

They are very actively pushing casual single player DD players away, which is insane, since that is most of the DD player base. Still no repeatable for packs conquest. Requiring playing on All-Star for the reward card in Mini-Seasons.
I actually liked the 11 All-Star wins mission. I went 11 - 5 to do it, switched back to Rookie and finished the season. No other reason to play that mini-season so back to repeating WBC over and over for 5 Ballin packs...now bored with that as well.
They haven't brought this back since 21 but I enjoyed the missions where you would need to beat a real mlb team in a 9 inning game on at least all star mode. When you had a average team go against the MLB Real life team it use to be challenging. Too bad they got rid of that type of mission the last 5 years.
-
@LuvMyXBOX_XBL I think it’s wrong to make a mission with 11 wins on all star for a non sellable card. Some people just can’t do it and can’t get that card. If they want to make a mission like this, make it for packs or something that doesn’t block people from a card.

yeah I did that one because there was nothing else to do. it was a PIA though because every game felt the same. it's like we're left w the crumbs
-
@LuvMyXBOX_XBL I don’t have a problem with playing on All Star, but I feel for those who struggle. This is why everything should be sellable.

Online players do, which is why SDS doesn't value offline players nearly as much.

To be fair, the game is currently monetized that way. Offline players are the types that are more likely to spend for things like a second tier of the inning pass (but then they would need to actually provide enough xp to complete it
Adding a paid version of the inning pass that gives a ton of packs (including some deluxe/premiers) and a second boss pack player would get a LOT of purchases from offline players. Its not like they would be taking away from the shitpass we get now.
I think the current model is prioritized towards people who are bad/average at the game but have money to burn. Doesnt really help them get any extra wins though.

As long as you are playing DD you aren't truly ''offline'', because when you are ''truly'' offline, DD isnt available. Tho I do still get the sentiment. I just always find it amusing to see offline and DD in the same breath, lol.
-
@dmc04005_PSN I love the patronising tone combined with the assumption that one who chooses to play offline must be bad.
-
@NotesOfJohn_PSN its not bad to be an offline player. Its just a little weak. Unless you physically cannot do it..i get that. You guys are Scared of losing, scared of getting better, scared of competition. I know the toxic players and the cheating sucks. Thats really only above the 800 rank levels, and you do not have to play them, they really dont come up very often. Dd is an online mode. Go play franchise if you want to beat up on a cpu everyday.
I can assure you no one cares if you have a losing record. If anything i respect it. Shows heart to lose and keep trying. Half of you want to give up. Its to hard..., im not good. Give me back my friendly games vs the cpu.. let me play mini seasons 4 hours a day.
lock in! Try to get better! I get destroyed from time to time as well. This topic is so soft. Btw im 16 and 11. Not very good.
