The same thing is going on in NBA2k26... its just going to be a revolving door on any PvP games moving forward now, in my opinion. Any games that have timing based systems I think. And I dont know how it can be fixed to be honest.

How can it? Look at stats and if someone is hitting above a certain avg ban them?

So here is the deal. You can't just ban someone based on average because yes, some people are good.

I believe I have posted this before but these things are done through hardware. A Microsoft executive once said every gaming company has the tools to detect these through the API (application programming interface). SDS simply does not have the resources to ban these devices as it costs significant amounts of money and once you do ban they have a workaround in usually around a day. If HUGE gaming companies like COD, BF6, Fortnite and even Sony and Microsoft (which I believe they actually could if they really wanted to) themselves can't ban them there is zero chance of a company like SDS. What they should be able to do is detect these through the API and permanently ban the accounts of the person doing it. This would also take resources that I'm not sure SDS would do. Games like COD whitelisted their streamers/partners knowing [censored] well they were cheating. They have finally been called out on it the last few years. Also clips of COD streamers getting shadow banned and calling their contacts and getting the ban lifted. The entire gaming industry is corrupt. I simply don't trust SDS to do either at this point. I will gladly come on here and make a post if they start banning cheaters and do not whitelist anyone.

What’s the point cheating in a video game, it’s not like you make World Series, you get millions of dollars, your dream home and dream wife, you get a gold Clayton Kershaw, like cool man, you scripted and won.

Well.. if you cheat you get all the best rewards, which essentially means you dont have to spend as much money as them. At least thats my opinion.

@doobiebross66-72_PSN lol just look up the leaderboard. There’s a guy on Xbox that wins a BR game every 5-10 minutes and has for like 200 straight hours. The game history never stops. He was at 2000 games played a week ago and also undefeated in ranked with a +1350 rating.

I actually think the Devs already knew this was as big as it is. Think of all the ways you used to be able to make stubs in this game by being extremely good that have just vanished.

Every UT has people selling coins now. SDS tried to get ahead of it by simply removing all the ways they can make coins. If the flawless rewards hadn't conveniently changed THIS year to 50,000 coins they would have tens of millions to sell. Now they only have a couple million to sell.

@jcassaro44_PSN They do it on every game and sell coins online. They don’t care at all about rank, cards, or emblems. They probably don’t even play sports. They care about the discord where people pay them money for ranks, cards, and emblems. Most of them will straight up tell you.

@GoozeFn_PSN Yeah. I was watching that stream. He called out a view watchers in stream this weekend. I get it sometimes though. There are a lot of braindead questions in the chat. I imagine it gets grating. Still though, it could have been handled better.

@doobiebross66-72_PSN I’m sorry but 40k cheaters wowwww. It made me realize that my petty suspicions that guys who have magically come back on me and win after pausing for a min after not hitting at all maybe not be so petty. I play at a fairly high level it made me realize how many cheaters I actually play this needs to be addressed or this game will die. And this problem is way worse then i thought I knew it was bad people don’t magically pause for 1 min 20 and start perfecting everything but I didn’t i know it was 40k bad… something needs to be done!

Sadly I think this combined with SDS being tone deaf, overcorrecting, aggressively pushing people towards online play, screwing over offline players, increased monetization, decreased rewards and XP.

It’s looking really bad and this could be the end. At the very least I think they lose a massive piece of their player base.

Will SDS really do anything? The sad part is if the person wouldn't have allowed access to YFK or the people doing it would have actually followed the spreadsheet, this would have never came out. I can see cheaters pretty easily because I am incredibly analytical. I saw them in PUBG long before anyone else. Matter of fact I mentioned radar to one of the big streamers extremely early in PUBG and the guy blocked me. It was years later before they resolved the radar thing. Normal people don't have a voice. We have to wait until a streamer comes out. PUBG radar cheat got so big they finally couldn't ignore it. Well, this is already big. PGA also has a huge cheating problem that is being ignored. Online gaming is just in a really bad spot. Sony and Microsoft should have handled this YEARS ago.

Would be a shame if this led to all online gaming littered with microtransactions going the way of the dinosaurs.

I would love if sports gaming got back to its roots and wasn’t reliant on gambling addicts and microtransactions to generate revenue.

You will eventually lose more players by not addressing the cheating problem. What I'm worried about is games like Fortnite, COD, etc are massive and they don't do a good job of handling cheats. What can you honestly expect out of a much smaller company? I don't think the answer is for gaming companies to try to ban the device but rather ban the users using them.

As I've said before, a Microsoft executive said years ago that all gaming companies have the tools to detect these. Can't find the executive's quote but found this:

Yes, Microsoft has, on multiple occasions, indicated that they provide tools and technologies at the platform level (via APIs or system-level integration) to help gaming companies detect cheats.

Likely for most companies. It is a constant battle especially for games like Fortnite and COD with heavy populations. It takes a lot of resources to combat these. Once you ban the device, they find a workaround within days. I think the Playstation ban lasted the longest and that was less than a week.

I still think targeting the individuals using them with a hardware ban is the best bet for now until Sony and Microsoft realize most gaming companies don't have the resources. I don't have any idea though how this would work. Not sure if you need approval from Sony/Microsoft to ban the hardware but I would also think you would need the proof to cover your [censored] from a lawsuit by a cheater for a hardware ban. As you can see, even this would take resources and SDS is a pretty small company.

In all fairness to SDS, they really haven't had an issue with cheaters until the last few years. Those being pitching with a certain device and I saw some of these but not too many. Now, they are obviously getting more sophisticated with this newest one. It will only get worse if nothing is done. This one going around is literally a game breaker. I am quite certain I have seen it twice in the last 3-5 ranked games that I actually played and I am sitting around the 500's.

This is why I have always said Sony and Microsoft should just add a few dollars to their subscriptions and use that solely for cheat prevention. I don't think a majority of gamers would have an issue with this if it cleared up this problem and it would be no additional cost to Sony and Microsoft. Win-win. Blows my mind this hasn't been done.

Not all of those people are cheating on MLB The Show, the server has cheaters from a ton of games, but it is definitely concerning that the cheating discord is picking up The Show
