Automatic Shift

They have to turn off the automatic shift for online play. The amount of times an opposing gets bailed out on a routine ground ball or fly ball. If you want the shift on, you should have to do it automatically. It’s costing too many games.

You can turn it off in the Main Settings screen and it will stay off.

I think the complaint he’s making is that it’s not automatically off for everyone in online competition. It would be absolutely great to force everyone to think and use their own shifts, but they’ll never do it because then everyone would be complaining about how long it takes and they lost games because they ran out of time.
Most games online are defaulted to lowest common denominator so they can attract the largest group of players. They build in as many crutches as they can without making it too easy.
