Yeah, I've been wanting this for a long time as well. Would really like it if these cards had some value in use other than just for the sake of it

What I was hoping for was for them to make a mini season of NLB teams like they have for WBC. But if there was a miniseason with this event they would have advertised it. Hopefully later in the year.

Not only that, but on release, this player should at least be in at least the mid-tier level that makes them worth grinding for too (at least for the first few week of the new cycle). Instead they make them 85's, when everything else is mostly 87-88's. Makes zero sense and that they are also useless with no Team Affinity. Its kinda sad actually, cause I love the Bob Kendrick videos, but only have limited time to grind,so Campy is only one I even did, but never really used him

I truly hate how SDS has spent the first 3 years of this partnership with the Negro League’s museum. Could have been amazing. But instead they segregate them to a mode outside of DD. Give them cards that aren’t good enough to take online & with no boost & only ever give a couple of them usable cards towards the end. It’s so irritating.

Funny how march to October had a path for rewards but not the special inclusion they want to educate the fan base with. But it's hard to want to use cards that have no goals or rewards tied to them.

I thought the cool papa bell was a very good launch card, but I don't disagree he should have been 89 with the others 87

I mean nothing has been leaked yet I don’t wanna get to excited but. they did say this is there biggest Jackie Robinson day drop to date. Probably getting to excited for nothing but i am rly excited.

@Sarge1387_PSN But it is exactly what they have done. I don’t believe it was intentional on their part, but they have essentially segregated them to a mode that is not integrated into DD.
A storyline should be a part of every inning cycle. Smack dab in the middle of DD.But, like so many other things in this title, they just don’t care.

Oh I agree with both you and @easy_duhz_it__psn , seems kinda weird that they preach about having their stories in the game yet fail to really integrate them into DD properly. I'd love a TA for the Negro Leagues, or a Negro League Mini-Season

Incoming program where the devs boast that it can be completed in 15 minutes for a 88 Gibson and 89 Jackie. Oh and 3 show packs.

@Sarge1387_PSN They’ve squandered the storylines in general. The year we got Jeter we got his storyline. They could have done a storyline about the HR race in 98 when they added McGwire and Sosa. They could have done storylines about some of these old timers they added this year who most people have never heard of. Instead, we get the same [censored] game. Then, for content, they give cards for the same players every single year. It’s tired, lacking creativity and frankly, lazy.

@GoozeFn_PSN Apathetic. That’s what they have become and that is what many longtime fans are becoming. I’ve spent months of my life playing the show since it released 20 some years ago. It has become the gaming equivalent of seeing a b level 80s rock band today. Just collecting their checks and robotically going through the motions on stage. No heart, no risk taking, just rinse and repeat apathy.

@LHUBison58_XBL Same. While this obviously isn’t the worst show compared against previous years, it is the worst year in terms of improvement or lack thereof.

Rinse and repeat. Added in the new perks system, which is nice, but little else. Dont like the new menus,freezes still all of the time and game i already becoming stale and boring after a month. Maybe Jackie R. Day will liven things up a little.

And of course this drop is predictably underwhelming. Can’t wait to buy all those pack cards though.
