    Well. Biased or not - I think anyone watching baseball has to point out…. no Ben Rice?! Sure maybe he’ll get a monthly, but I’ll tell you what, most of the time with SDS, they always leave 2-3 really hot players out. Hoping this isn’t the case for Benjamin. One can make a case for Yordan as well. Although, I have higher hopes he’ll get a monthly because he’s more well known. Yall can say what you want, but I’ve been playing since 19. I know how they are (unfortunately).

    @virusts_psn Is 85 overall WBC RP Harrison Cohen not enough? As a Yankees fan, (hate me all you want) I don't feel my team is "underrepresented", it's just most diamonds are locked behind programs and grinding missions.

    What did he do to deserve it besides being a Yankee?

    • Yes, he hit for a good average but his batting average is only good enough for 18th, trailing among others Sal Stewart who did get a card.
    • Home Runs? There are 13 players ahead of him including Sal Stewart who did get the card? Rice is tied with 29 other players
    • RBIs? He is Tied for 12th with 5 others
    • 12 players had a Better WAR

    The only categories he is in the top 3 that I saw was OBP and OPS.

    There were only 3 cards given as Spotlights today. One went to a pitcher for a Complete game shutout. One went to a fielder for robbing 3 Home Runs in a game (which is rarer than a perfect game) and one went to Sal Stewart who hit .340 with 4 HRs.

    Do think I Ben Rice has been fantastic so far? Yes. Do I think he was robbed of a Spotlight card? No. No more so than Jordan Walker or Drake Baldwin or any number of Pitchers off to good starts.

    I get your point. But He was one of the most unlucky hitters last year and is hot to start off this year. You're right, he doesnt deserve a spotlight this week (compared to the others who had great games). But compound what hes doing over 4 weeks, he should get a spot in the monthly. should he get the Final-boss-like card for finishing the monthly? Maybe - although I think it'll be Yordan.. Should he be in the monthly program? Absolutely.

    Compared to the rest of the MLB... He deserves some love

    And I would make the exact same argument for Schlittler. Although i feel as if the egg hunt card ruined his chances of being included in this. great pitcher Top 5 in many stats from last july to now. but unfortunately, that egg hunt card is kinda BP online 😕

    @SpecialFrosty_PSN

    I agree that they should be in the running for monthly cards just like Jordan Walker from the Cardinals.

    But there is still a lot of April left to go. Plenty of time for hot streaks or cold streaks to change the landscape of the Monthly awards.
