The trade/team logic in every mode is terrible. In RTTS, my team is trading away all the good players for young prospects and the prospects aren’t even that good most times. With a C the highest potential in most cases. I understand rebuilding, but when we’re close to being a playoff team a couple years in a row and then they trade the good players so we’re back to square one. And the team has over 100 million in spending power every free agency, why wouldn’t they sign good players in free agency to reach the playoffs? Wouldn’t it make sense for the team to build around our RTTS player who’s going to be the best player in the MLB eventually (in most cases)?

In Franchise, the CPU trades make no sense either. Trading for players that they don’t need. For example, a team with 2-3 solid OFs will give up a good SP for another outfielder. It’s not realistic. The I want the league to be competitive across the board, I don’t want to continually play against teams that keep making their roster worse with dumb trades or FA signings.

This is why i dropped trade frequency to 3. Might even turn it off for most the season and then enable it in July and offseason

AND right now, 3 of my team’s 5 best SPs are in the minors. Why? All 24 years old and older. But they’re all in the minors. Some are experienced MLB pitchers. And yet the team has them in the minors while we have minor league pitchers in the MLB getting destroyed. It doesn’t make sense.

I turn the trade slider to 0. Sure it’s not realistic, but neither are the trades that are made. I’d rather have the rosters somewhat intact anyway. They get plenty jumbled just from free agency.

In franchise mode I keep seeing players with 68ish overalls and C potential being traded and their calling it a "Blockbuster". 😕
