Bullpen Bash 1

Seriously? 30,000 stubs for an 88 card that is already barely selling for 14,000 or a 90 card that in a week or two won't fetch 20,000. It's version 1 so we can expect more I guess. This and lack of early content shows either SDS is way out of touch.

What's the or?
-
Seriously, what is with the pack prices? They come out for more than the top card even sells for! And what's with the random unannounced drops? Seems lazy and pointless.
-
Its a pack without any content. They aren't going to announce it.
And while the last stretch has been a little slow, content was good for Season 1. They just need a large drop this weekend to kickoff inning 2, but the calendar makes that look unlikely.
-
This is leading me to think of how crazy the price of some of the gate keepers will be when the legend and flashback collection releases may invest in some welcome pack cards. If I remember right I think the 20th anniversary cards got up to around 40k last year.
-
Its not greed if Noone is buying the stuff. You know because you can go 100 games and not see any of these players on anyone's team...lol

What is the direction SDS is going this year? All of this seems so random. Some programs have collections, some don’t. Cards are released at random and in this case only in packs. Diamond values are all over the place. Some packs are cheaper than others during programs but give the same rarity tiers. Some collections are over 20 cards another is 16. I know they want to make money and the only way is having some unachievable standard for NMS to force to buy stubs but why would you want to put money into this game for everything being all over the place.

Preach. There is a serious lack of direction.
Most importantly what the hell are they doing with TA? Apparently there’s no more TA drops so essentially there’s no reason to want or care for many of the cards as you’re not going to grind for team TA stuff.
In past years with TA I got to play with people I’d normally never use etc and didn’t mind the grind with other teams’ players and rewards here and there were worth it.
The legacy rewards this season are very small for the amount of time needed to get them.
Truly baffling year of MLB

I don't see this as any different than what they have been doing for years. Tiered packs always have their base level cards at well beneath the cost of the pack. It's always been a gamble. It is never a sure thing. Are people wanting a guaranteed profit when buying packs?
Right now an hour after release
- Andrew Miller = 74k buy now and 66K sell now. So that pack does not cost more than the top guy
- Blake Treinen = 62K Buy Now and 48K buy now.
So the pack is not worth more than the top cards sell for. Probably by the time they dip that low, if they do, the pack will be no longer available.
And then watch their prices sore when you need to collect Veteran or 2nd Half Cards for a big collection later and these cards are no longer avaiable.
I have complained that SDS has been steering their ship towards monetization island for quite a number of years now but in this case I don't see this as any different than previous years.

@BnK-24_PSN no egg hunt collection was a shock this year.

I think he was meaning other packs - so far even their headliner of the packs sell for less than pack cost so even if you pull it you lose money.
Maybe this bullpen pack is different so far as far as potential profit.
But previous packs were completely weird spotlight etc, the main card is worth less than the pack cost so….whos buying them and why?
Never really seen that in past years.
These are different only because (so far) there is no other way to attain them in game other than buying the pack.
So SDS must have a program coming up and people buying these packs and/players are going to feel ripped off at current prices because of the way SDS is releasing them. It’s almost as if they’re trying to drain people of stubs now for a few days then have everyone punch themselves in the nuts.
Which further proves the totally correct idea:
Never, ever buy packs
