PS5 Controller Charging Issue

One day recently I plugged my controller in to charge it before seeing two of the three bars full and putting my console into rest mode. After turning it back on the next day, the controller has only one bar. Has anyone ever had this happen? How does it actually lose battery power while it’s supposed to be charging?

This is a Playstation issue not a MLB the show issue.

@knc104pcknc_PSN go to settings, accessories, controller, make sure you use Bluetooth connection. It will start charging after this. I was on “use usb connection” and was not getting my controller to charge. Once I switched it to “use Bluetooth” it started charging..
Also reset the controller. Pinhole under the Sony logo on the back of the controller, use a safety pin or sorts and hold it until the controller cycles.
