@jcassaro44_PSN This is not how a healthy economy works, and it's getting old reading these types of responses. A healthy econ will have buyers and sellers working together to set a market price. Without that, like we are seeing now, we have high end diamonds completely running out of control super early into the game cycle. There is nothing to keep those prices down, and they will continue to climb until they become so restrictive that the only way to get them is to bust out that credit card.
And really, that's what they want. They want to squeeze. They want us to run to the store and buy buy buy. If that's what you want to do, feel free, your money, not mine, but we've never had that in this game before, and now we do, with no communication. That leads to an uncertain market, and in that type of market there are two outcomes.
The Haves, and the Have Nots.

All these problems started with the introduction of the app. Shut it down until they can put a better system in place.
This is by far the easiest and simplest solution. I complete LS collection every year I’ve played. I don’t buy stubs, I don’t flip like a maniac, I play the game that rewards a sh*t ton of free stuff that I can either sell to buy what I need or add to the collection.
We get it, there’s a segment of “players” that want to just make a game out of flipping and investing, that’s great, if they get rid of the market on the app and website, you can still do that, on your console.
I AM one of those people and can concede (because I have a brain and use logic) that the app is what has allowed the infiltration of marketplace bots and a stagnant economy

I think people didn’t understand what I was saying, basically SDS wants you to play the baseball game and earn stubs by playing a baseball video game, not playing a stock market simulator app game while sitting on your couch watching Netflix and doomscrolling. That’s the main reason for a lot of this change you’re seeing, that and they are a business and want you to buy stubs. I know it’s unfair to NMS players, I’m not sticking up for SDS here, but too many people inflate their stubs by not playing the game and it makes the market unhealthy.

This is a straw-man argument. This isn’t a free and open market, it’s a closed and controlled market. SDS 100% controls every aspect of it, they control the supply side, they control the demand side, it’s manipulated by them and always has been and always will be, because it’s their product. Up till now, they’ve let it loosely be used to hoard stubs, but they’ve reached their limit for some reason known only to them.

Anybody have a definitive answer yet as to if I flip on console will I get penalized for it? Is it just app flipping that is frowned upon now or is it flipping in general. Not rly willing to risk a ban on my account as I do a lot more on this game then flip. I’m not just a no life flipper but I enjoy it from time to time as a break from ranked.

You can’t be banned from the game for this, all they did was RESTRICT you from using the app and website marketplaces. Go crazy on the console, it isn’t against ToS.

@SavageSteve74_PSN tried to on console for first time earlier and my god this is gonna be way more tedious. im new to flipping this year so I’ve only ever known the app any tips for flipping on console. should I just put in a ungodly amount of orders and leave them and then like sell them all again tonight?

@Onix_Savage22_PSN Way too tedious on console. I’ll probably play out the year, but I’m done with this game going forward. Punishing people for things that aren’t against the rules is ridiculous. That’s how you treat loyal customers of over a decade?

So im just coming here for help from experienced flippers on console or people who did before the app. What are you tips do I just dump all my coins into live series bronzes at beginning of day and sell them when market picks up in evening? Any tips would help.

Really wish i would stop seeing the same couple guys complaining about the same thing. Yall act like you can’t flip on console. It’s clear that people were abusing the website and app. If this is what makes or breaks the game for you maybe it’s not for you. Either quit or just take a beat.

Nothing yet. They are probably going through and reviewing each account that was caught in their net. I guess no news is good news. In the mean time, I am learning how to flip on the console. Does anyone have any advice?
