I don’t even remember when I started playing the show. Pretty sure it was MLB 06. This is the buggiest/worst release I’ve ever experienced. The only worse “bugged” game I’d say is one year where the catcher refuses to catch the pitch and the game would freeze. This was before patch updates I believe.
We’re in week 3. 4 patches in. And it’s still this bugged out and glitched. I still don’t even want to consider starting a franchise or RTTS because of how many bugs those modes have.
It’s inexcusable for a game that has released 4 patches on a game that’s barely even changed from last year to begin with.

perfect perfect should be rewarded a HIT.

This. I can't tell you how many times I've seen 115mph atom balls go right to a fielder and then the next at bat, some squib dribble up the line for a hit.
Baseball is not fair.
-
Hit a perfect perfect 110 + and infielder jumps straight up like Michael Jordan and catches the ball for an out.
I agree with @genopolanco_psn i started in 07, this is the trashiest copy and paste release ever. I truly feel I was ripped off this year spending $90 on this absolute garbage.

They went from the New Threads mini season saying server error to trying and fix it and that and classic both are server error. Great job @Joesds

Another company can make the MLB game you want, and they don't need Sony's blessing. Try inundatintg MLB.com with all of these messages. But first you need to convince another company to get in the game. Kinda hard trying to communicate with that other company here at a Sony forum. Not very intelligent.
-
Another company has to be willing to create and purchase the license from MLB. EA and 2K dropped the license purchases years ago.

There's nothing to keep EA and 2k from creating a new game. They don't even need Sony to stop making The Show.

^^^^ This
The Show would still be first party if someone else wanted to make a baseball game for Nintendo and Xbox.
They would also be able to max out the graphics on the Pro if Xbox and Nintendo's weaker hardware didn't hold them back. -
That would require a total rewrite, this is a PS2 or PS3 game engine. The code is old and tired that’s why there are so many problems.
-
But his point remains, they can’t rewrite the programming for next gen, MLB required them to platform it on old gen and switch. Until they can leave behind Xbox One, PS4, and switch, there isn’t much they can really do to expand the game, those systems can’t keep up and SDS is handcuffed.

@savagesteve74_psn
True but there is still no excuse for a release as bad as this years. This is tge worst release I can remember all tge way back to 07. There are things they can improve, this engine dates back to late PS2, early PS3.I only play on my Series X because I really don’t like tge smaller controller on my PS5. Besides my wife -lays an exclusive on it. Happy wife, happy life.
