Anyone else having issues with pre-emptive diving?

I've turned off all CPU assist settings and problem still persists. Majority of the time when a ball is it my fielder automatically dives early. I'm trying to figure out if it is a controller issue or not.

Defense feels super clunky this year, it feels like my fielder is always stuck in an animation and I’m not able to gain control until the ball is past
