It seems like every year we see countless number of the posts that say things like So-and-So hit 2 HRs and had 6 RBIs why isn't he supercharged.

So along with AI I analyzed the supercharges from 2025 and these are the criteria we came up with (although I should probably condense the Walk-Off section)

MLB THE SHOW 25 SUPERCHARGE CRITERIA — DISTILLED LIST

    • 3+ HR in a game

    • Wilyer Abreu — grand slam and inside-the-park HR in the same game
    • Christian Moore — first in MLB history to hit a game-tying HR, walk-off HR while trailing, and drive in all of his team’s runs

    NORMAL PITCHING CRITERIA

    • 13+ strikeouts
    • Complete game shutout
    • Rare dominant debut (Jacob Misiorowski)

Really interesting criteria. I wonder how many players have met one of those criteria and not gotten one. Unless SDS actually uses some set criteria. I actually like the fact they are doing a lot of supercharges. Makes some of those underrated players with silver or bronze cards usable even if it just for a couple days. Also keep live series cards relevant beyond just collecting them because you have to. Imagine if the supercharged three or four guys a day. You would see tons of lineup diversity even late game.
