WHY are we getting losses for winning mini season games?

I'm kind of glad I haven't really dug in to this game yet. I'm still doing the WBC program, and had early access, lol. It's as if a positive force field has kept me from getting caught up in this. Maybe it's because I'm playing another Ultimate Team mode in NHL at the same time.
I usually balance them pretty well, but the baseball hasn't really 'grabbed me' yet, so I'm happy to avoid these problems.

They should have shut down the mode until it was fixed.
