I have seen people say the mode is borderline unusable.

Take that with a grain of salt. "Unusable" to this community is usually stupid [censored] like someones batting stance is inaccurate or a jersey isnt the right shade.

For me, biggest issue is they screwed up left handed hitters leaving the box on hits, they all leave slow and seem to watch every hit before running. Infuriating to get thrown out at 2b on gappers or hits down the line.

You must be playing a different game than me cause I've noticed a lot of stuff that's different from last year, a couple are really big ones.

    I am enjoying myself.

That being said, 26 is a more blatant re-skin of the previous year’s game than past titles. They changed the menu interface (for the worse), did a little work on RTS, and added some minor enhancements to the in game mechanics then charged $80 for it lol.

Franchise is buggy, stadium and uniform creators are the exact same, and only minor changes to DD so far. The storylines aren’t out yet but it seems like the Negro league museum people do most of the work for that anyways. I want to stop buying this game because of the complete disregard SDS shows its fans but I enjoy it too much.
    F
Fielding is much improved with range of infield players being so wildy scattered attributes, especially between moving left and right.
Newly added lefty righty splits for pitchers makes the cat and mouse strategy between pitcher and batter ten times better than ever before. Trying to steal on guys like Realmuto with above average Pop Time AND Arm Strength, a pure joy because of the challenge.
ABS is a way better addition than when they put the pitch clock in a few years ago.
But yeah, except for the many differences, it exactly the same as last years game.

Very upset with the changes to the game this year, it is basically dead to me now. I loved investing and how the game correlated with real life stats, I liked flipping silvers into golds, making stubs to build rosters and gameplay as long as I can somewhat keep up with new players. Now there are limits on everything so investing is out, gold exchanges are basically out, gambling on equipment packs are out. Now I grind to get 150 packs and don't pull any diamond cards even thought the odds say I should (wasn't as bad when I could invest and potentially make stubbs). Pay $100 and open two bundles to not get any diamonds, then get 2 gold players in the chase packs. I don't have time to put 500 hours into the game to likely not even complete team diamonds with the horrible pull rates. A game I used to love is now not enjoyable at all.

I normally spend a decent amount on this game each year but EA is forcing me to speak with my wallet. You can chalk me up as lost financial support for EA. They had already lost me in Madden 2 years ago and now lost me for MLB the show as of today.

I am, I really cannot tell much of a difference from 25. But, I enjoyed 25 so everything is good. I only play RTTS and franchise offline.

I mostly play offline DD. I’ve been having a lot of fun. For the first time in years I’m in no rush to complete collections or even programs. I haven’t been keeping up with the Meta or card rankings and I’ve just been playing like the old days. Just a boy and his game.
