Why is Friendly Quit a Thing

Absolutely pissed at myself. Opponent sent a friendly quit on the last out of a 12-3 game and I accepted because I didn’t know what friendly quit was. Who in their right f*cking mind would allow a friendly quit past the first few innings? Why tf is it even an option??

Because the more options the better.

One great reason is I don't want to play at polo ground or some max elevation stadium. I always offer friendly if the stadium is terrible. If I'm stuck playing there it's what it is but I'd rather not

@ref479ode_PSN completely get that. It makes sense to have it as an option for the first 3 innings or so but after that there is absolutely no reason it should be allowed

I don't like friendly quits. I think it should be restricted after the 5th inning. The only way the game ends early after that is the mercy rule.
