    This has been going on for years, and it’s even worse this year. Baserunner speed is WAY too slow and CPU fielding reaction is WAY too high. I am constantly getting thrown out at 2nd with a ball hit into the gap or off the wall, even guys with 50+ speed. I just got thrown out with Gunner Henderson hitting a ball off the fence in Mini Seasons. The baserunners take forever, and the CPU always has a perfect read and throw to the infield. FIX THIS PLEASE.

    yes, the hits down the line being only singles and not doubles has been broken since the inception of the game. They band-aided it maybe 5 years ago by having the OF throw to 2nd inaccurately so the batter would get a double which is more realistic.

    So now that has been taken out too? Where it's back to anything hit down the line and you're trying to make it a double you get thrown out? Even with avg speed runners?

    The flip side is if they ever fix CPU catcher throwing we will never be able to get speed mods for slower guys

    I agree though, I get a bit tired of the rifle arms everywhere from the outfield. I will say that the game in general plays FAR, and I do mean FAR in caps, better when outfielders dont all have elite speed/fielding

    Outfielders have cannons for arms this year so far

    Doesn’t help that the batter is slow out of the box this year, when they hit a gapper they don’t start running right away, it’s like they hit a no doubter.

    @icebergslim7669_psn I noticed the same thing when doing the moment for one of the Japanese players that was a lefty, I can't remember who it was, but when I would put a ball in play, it was almost like for his first two or three steps out of the box he was in slow motion, but everything going on in the field from the ball being in flight to the OF trying to run it down were still going at regular speed. At first I thought maybe it was because he was just slow, even though his speed wasn't horrible. Then though I noticed it went doing the Bazzana moment and his speed was 85 so it's not a speed issue.

    I can't say I'm having this issue. Only issue I've had is when a slower player 50 spd or under gets thrown out going for 2 more this year. However it is more likely for say Cal Raley to get thrown out going for 2 then for Trea Turner. So it seems to make some sense. Is there some other issue I'm not seeing? I've only had a problem with the Japan dome some OF clipping to steal a perfect hit into the gap.

    Lefties are slow getting out of the box. Doesnt seem to impact righties to the same degree. Animation has them watching the ball as if admiring a HR

    I think I made a post or topic about this issue because I cannot believe that SDS literally ruins non-CPU perfect-perfects, makes CPU baserunners seem faster than 99 Carlos Beltran, 98 (PXPed to 99) Bobby Witt Jr, 90 Elly De La Cruz, 99 Mike Trout, 99 Xaiver Edwards, and 99 NLCS Shohei Ohtani. I honestly believe that an SDS employee or moderator shadow-deleted my post/topic because I can't find anything where I mention it even though I clearly remember mentioning it here.

    The best is that the same outfielder who will drop a routine pop fly will also gun a guy out at second on a should-have-been-a-double down the line.

    Got gunned out at first on a would be single to right field with Bobby Witt running, i know this happens in real baseball, but Bobby Witt is a 96 speed and it wasn’t a ball that was hit very hard to the Right fielder either.

    @Stinkysman77_MLBTS

    I’m thinking he’s saying the 2B chased down a grounder into the deeper portion of shallow RF and threw him out…which unfortunately has happened to me as well. But hasn’t from the right fielder themselves in a few years

    No it was a soft liner that dropped right in front of the right fielder, in an event game.

    Yes I almost threw out a slow runner at first with Judge. Was a pleasant surprise to see Polanco covering to give me the opportunity. Hadn’t seen this in a couple years. I was playing WBC Puerto Rico stadium.

    No clue, a few years ago you could throw out runners from the outfield, but i know in the last couple of installments when you attempt to throw someone out , the first baseman is never at the bag.That’s why i was so surprised when it happened.
