Anyone else borderline excited/not excited for tonight?

I’m excited because it’s fresh. Really hoping the glitches from last year are fixed. Hope the game feels better online and off compared to last season. Looking forward to just taking my time with it. Every year I rush through it chasing players I rarely use because I chase the next player. This year I’m going to play with who I like, get cards I want to try, and just have some fun. I’m going to stop watching the streamers and rarely look at the socials this year to avoid the temptation to grind and waste tons of hours forgetting to enjoy the game. Hopefully it’s a great game overall.

This is like my Christmas as an adult. I'll open my 75 packs tonight, most likely disappointed at the lack of diamonds....put together a team and start knocking out some TA.

I caved and preordered it. I work overnight and can bring in my ps5 to play during slow times over my hotspot.

Even less excited now.
- No Cardinal Cards in the WBC (which I expected)
- Only Extra Cardinals card beyond TA (and NL Collection) is in my least favorite mode DQ as an Epic reward (Musial). Can't wait to start flipping coins to see if I can get lucky.
- Most Cardinals I would be excited to use are starting with cards for other teams (McGee, Simmons).
- Free WBC Schwarber having more power than Signature Series and NL collection Pujols
That said there is no doubt that it was a ton of content and rewards that they just revealed.

That Schwarber card is a joke. They buffed his power but still gave him FAR better contact than he deserves. He is a career .230 hitter. If we are giving people with low power 60 power shouldnt a guy with low contact get penalized too?

Pujols is a 700 HR hitter but having him 125 in everything isn’t realistic.
His stats seems more realistic. They need to make more cards more realistic.
Like having a Tony Fernandez or whoever gold card that has 99/99 speed steal just diminishes Rickey Henderson and real speedsters so much it’s dumb.
sDS doesn’t control their stats well enough. It’s dumb as [censored] that a gold card can undermine the greatest of speedsters.
So why want Ricky when you can have Fernandez?
They give guys with 40 stolen bases 99/99 treatment and it’s so dumb.
But that’s when you realize - their stats don’t matter at all - it’s all just a gimmick. I can steal with Paul Goldschmidt every at bat 100% of the time. Other than in ranked.

Idk if other people share this opinion but if we didn’t know about tulo being in the game already and just found out on the stream tonight that would make him being the collection reward much more exciting

Why are people excited about Tulo? Dude had like what, a good year or two in Colorado?
Pujols is NL collection which I am axcited about but he played second fiddle to freaking Troy?
Do a stat comparison on baseball reference between the two. They’re catering too much to the online ranked crowd or they’ve lost it.
Why is Tulo a 99 OVR master collection playing out of Colorado. Doesn’t have career stats. Pretty much sucks.
He only has 455 less HRs than Poo but better stats?
Dumb.

I'm pumped, ready to start the grind again! Should be plenty to do tonight, will probably try the WBC Mini Season and a few conquest games. Hoping to pull something big between the 20 standards and 28 Twitch packs.
I do have to be up at 6:30 in the morning, but hopefully I can power through the day tomorrow. I don't sleep well anyways, so might as well play The Show til 2 or 3 AM!
